Replying To Inatfullforward:  "The right decision but why did they wait until the Intermediate teams were in the dressing rooms and supporters on way into the grounds? Storm was well forecast from middle of the week and at very latest that decision to cancel should have been taken early this morning. A lot of people were needlessly inconvienced by this last min decision. You would have to question the wisdom of the delayed decision. From the outset it was far too dangerous for players and supporters travelling to and from Pearse Park not to mention the lottery the game itself would become."
100% agree. Same with the ladies game. Should have been called off first thing on Sunday morning. Causing people to get in cars yesterday was irresponsible. Lets hope the weather doesn't play havoc on Saturday. The Louth final turned into a bit of a mess yesterday, so you don't want that either.

Intermediate winner has Crettyard (Laois) away on Saturday 2nd.
Senior winner has St. Marys (Louth) away on Sunday 3rd.

Drumlish Vs Crettyard
Colmcille Vs St Marys.

Lads wont have much time to celebrate.

He'll do well to keep Slashers away from relegation.
They have nothing coming through from underage and the future looks pretty bleak for them.
Although Grattans had a couple of minors on the county team this year so I can see Slashers opening up the auld cheque book again and entering the transfer market!

Anybody know what incentives Slashers paid to players from Forgney, Cashel, Shroid , Grattens and other small clubs that they scooped up . Little wonder some of there clubs went out of existense when they were allowed to pounce on easy prey

Oh don't be saying that.
The players played with them just because they wanted to.
There was no incentives thrown in front of them to join.
It was always the dreams of these players to abandon their home clubs and play for the mighty Slashers.

Like you being a Gaels man that dreams of Clonguish lifting the Sean Connolly cup. Maybe it is also possible for these players to love two clubs as well

'The rest of us'.....meaning YOU!!!
As I said before, I must be suffering with amnesia but I don't remember ever supporting Clonguish.
I played hurling for a while with them, but I definitely would not call myself a supporter of them!!
I'm a bigger fool here though replying to you!

What's with all the aggro on here between posters?
No need for it at all, when there are 2 county finals down for decision in Longford this weekend, that could be discussed.

Haha you must be need maths lessons so, because there was a lot more than 5 lads who played hurling with Clonguish who came from the Drumlish/Ballinamuck area!! And if you are so good at playing detective, then you should look back over posts the last year or so and I have stated that I played or tried to play a bit of hurling with Clonguish. The Nertneys, Mulleady, Breslin, Collum, Kane and myself would all have played a bit at underage and some went on to play senior. And that's only off the top of my head. The only one here stirring is you. I'd say if we went back over your posts, 99% of them would just read....'never mind him, he's a Clonguish man'. You really need to get a life!!
