Replying To dave1988:  "Jesus Christ stop making a fool of yourself. Players are interested in playing and I don't blame them. Id say it will be a great weekend with no pressure but Galway have definitely the players in Connaght."
Have a bit of respect in your posts. Galway scraped past Mayo in a home Connacht Final with a lot of late help from the ref. Roscommon have the players and should be well capable of beating either Mayo or Galway. Martin McHugh in Donegal, Mark's father, spoke on national radio about the quality of footballers in Roscommon.

Good man Dunmore. I get plenty of laughs on the Galway page. We'll be playing ye in a Connacht semi final in Salthill next April. It'll fly around.

I'm not saying we don't have good footballers but just because we have 10 lads on the panel means dam all. If everyone in Connaght made themselves available I'd say cox donie ultan and fallon who I rate highly wouldn't be there. the likes of comer Walsh and Kelly aren't available.

It's out of 5 counties lads, you were guaranteed 6 to be on it if interested.

Connacht panel for tomorrow night the list of players you have made themselves available or aren't tied up with club football.

I'm sure Martin McHugh if asked would say the same about Mayo whom should be doing better than a last 12 exit this summer. Galway have been able to finish game stronger than opposition as seen in the Mayo,Dublin,Donegal as this year. Good structured defence, Strength and conditioning much improved on previous years a strong bench is why Galway have been Connacht champions the last three years and reached two of the last 3 All Ireland finals.

We will indeed, unfortunately connacht does nt make of a difference anymore.no doubt ye have some good footballers, unfortunately none of us in connacht have good enough players to win it out.

Seven Galway players on the starting 15 tonight and three Roscommon players backs up your argument. (Source: Score Beo)

Correction: 4 Roscommon starters, 4 Mayo, 7 Galway. Different approach in Leinster with few Dublin starters and players from several counties.

Good coach and IMO the best and most experienced one he have got under Davy Burke since he arrived in October 2022.

Posted this up last night and for some reason the mods didn't publish it.

RIP to Adrian O'Sullivan one of the finest players to ever play for Roscommon footballers. Minor Captain in 1967, U21 captain in 1969 and Senior captain in 1972 a record that few if any has. Represented Connacht in the railway cup won many club titles with his club Castlerea including a Connacht title in the late 60s.

Very intriguing u17 Blitz in Castlerea held earlier this morning, with the prize for the winners a place in the Connacht Minor club championship.
A round robin of 4 teams - St Pearces, Oran/St Croans, Kilmore/Shannon Gaels and Castlerea St Kevin's was won by Castlerea St Kevins after they beat St Pearces and Orans/St Croans. Some fine performances on all four teams, the best players for the winners on the day were Dara & Kaylum Curran, James Hawkshaw and Jamie Dowd. Other players to shine were Declan Kennedy of Kilmore/Shannon Gael, Freddie Kelly for Oran/St Croans, Ross Glynn for St Pearces.
The winners are out next week against the Leitrim Champions in the Connacht Minor Club QF, with the winners playing the Sligo Champions in the Connach SF.

@imformed thanks for the update and Castlerea U16 Div 1 champions last year and U18 champions a few weeks ago it's only right they now go on to represent Roscommon in the U17 Connacht championship.

Just leaving Hyde Park now St Barry's Junior A champions after they finished level 0-11 each in normal time. They had more juice in legs for extra time to run out 0-17 to 0-12. Hard luck to Clann B two final defeats in a row.

If the senior final does go ahead tomorrow hopefully the stormy weather doesn't ruin it.

Wouldn't put a dog out in this weather, absolutely ridiculous this match has been allowed to go ahead.

Ridiculous decision to go ahead with game. Plenty of games pulled today, I don't see what's the big panic to get it done today. Unfair on players who have prepared all year to be ready for this day and dangerous to ask patrons to venture out on the roads today. Let's hope everyone gets there and back safely
