Replying To Gaa_lover:  "Damien Comer, Johnny Heaney, Sean Fitzgerald, Sean Mulkerrins, Jack Glynn, Peter Cooke is the players he named

At least 3 or 4 of those players? Only Comer you can say for certain will be starting if fit come April against Mayo and getting Comer fit is the biggest issue. Galway are working from a strong and settled starting 15 right now fitness wise they seem well ahead of the rest in Div 2.

Meath are currently missing S Lavin, C McGill and B Menton that started in the championship last year.

Roscommon are without C Daly, D Murray, R Daly, N Daly, C Cox, C Murtagh, D Murtagh that are deemed starters."
I think we are splitting hairs. Johnny Heaney in fairness is a definite starter going by the last few seasons and has been largely ever present. Cooke would be as well. Fitzgerald would likely start if his good form continues. Sean Kelly is becoming indispensable for us and while he started at 3 the last day he played most of the game further out the field. We only had two players holding the last line of defence with others funnelling back when necessary. In essence we have no other recognised full back. So in a nutshell 3 to 4 of the players named would start if available. I don't get a sense we harp on about missing players as much as other counties even back to the days when Corofin were dominating the club scene. They never could make themselves available to Galway until well into the season.

Unchanged team Roscommon GAA has put up but apparently we had another injury in training so will likely be at least one change to that team

We're gonna suffer badly yet if we don't find a keeper.

If Lavin starts today expect a full press on kickouts and a lot of high bal kicked on top of him.

Best of luck to Roscommon today. Hitting the road for Navan shortly and I'm very nervous about todays game. Fully expect a big reaction from Meath after last weekends no show against Galway. Meath are no way near that bad and I think it was just one of those days for them where they didn't get going. I enjoyed the game last weekend against Cork but looking back at it now I feel it was more a case of Cork being so poor rather than Ros being so good. I feel we'll need to improve again from last week's performance to come away with the points today. Hoping for big games from the Smiths again as we'll need them firing on all cylinders today I feel if we are to win. Best of luck to Anthony and his team today and a win today will set us up nicely.

A good finish to the first half for Ros but in reality we should be much further ahead. Meath goal looked too soft and are causing some problems at midfield. Hopefully the 9 point lead is enough. Big half now needed from Enda to run at the Meath defence and hopefully Donie, Cian and Cox continue their accurate kicking.

Happy enough with that win and the contest was basically won 1st half when we built up a 9 point lead. 2nd half was always going to be more difficult against the wind but we never looked like conceding a goal 2nd half to allow Meath back into the match.

Fine performances by Stack, Harney, Nolan, E Smith and Cox on his return. Roll on round 3 v Clare when the Faithleachs and Pearses lads

Delighted to come away with a 4 point victory even though it could and should have been more. Very solid performance again from everyone really. Colm Lavin did well in goal I thought. Not sure about the goal he conceded as was sitting the opposite end of the stand to fully see if he could have done better but his kickouts were generally very good I felt. He also pulled off a great save in the first half. No saves to make in the second half. Our spine was really very solid and dependable again. Jerome Henry had his hands full today but he made some shocking decisions, in particular the black card for Conor Cox was baffling. Should have been a black card for the Meathman if anything and a free in. He seemed quite happy to dish out yellow cards to us but nothing for Meath who constantly pulled and dragged all day long. Meath player can have no complaints regarding his red. There were mistakes and some poor decisions made over the 70 mins but overall a very solid display again. Plenty of room for improvement no doubt but a great foundation to build from. We'll have serious depth when all the Pearses and Faithleachs lads return. Looking forward now to Clare in two weeks and hopefully we can keep the push for promotion going.

Good win but poor enough after first 5 minutes of 2nd half.
4 points from 2 games, a week off and the Pearses/Failes lads coming back in.
Nice place to be.
Wonder what Cunningham was saying to them in the big huddle afterwards?

Excellent win today again. Great to be 2 from 2 with the amount of regular starters we have been missing. Taught Stack,Harney Cox and Enda were our top performers

Only thing Meath baffled us with today was no scoreboard to tell us how far ahead we were.
Pretty embarrassing for a county ground.

Nolan and kilroy especially in first half.

I was very impressed with Eddie Nolan today also. He seems to be improving with every game. Niall Kilroy is as reliable as ever. Thought young Heneghan did a lot of work today and made himself available for plenty of ball. The Smiths excellent again too along with Harney, Cox, McKeon and Stack.

Good win and never looked in doubt. Would have taken it at start of league given the amount if regulars missing. Promotion will come down to the matches v Clare, Galway and Derry. Down away would normally be a tough assignment but unlikely they'll have the Kilcoo lads back for that either.

Eddie Nolan doing very well in both matches to date but Div 2 this year looks very poor standard compared to previous years but that's not Roscommons fault just hope it doesn't come back to haunt us in championship where the real acid test will be after two very demoralising championship defeats in past two years.

A clean sweep for connacht teams in league this weekend including London. Sligo scored a huge total today v Carlow so they have a bit of momentum behind them also with 4pts from two games also.

To put Kilroys performance into perspective, Meath had their best spell when he was subbed off.

Good win today, we should have a strong squad for championship and still in the hunt for promotion

Delighted with that win, would have thought 2 points from first two giving the players we were missing was realistic but 4 is very satisfying! Again this week a goal at a crucial point seemed to give us a great a lift and demoralised the opposition, crucially we kicked on after both goals and had the games out of sight at half time. Stack very good so far a credit to him, fabulous footballer, not many can perform so well at full back and a half forward! Hussey being back has been a real bonus and was crucial given the lads we were missing in defence. Nolan and Harney have been solid and must be commended, Kilroy justifying selection playing that role so well and doing so much unseen stuff. Enda as always very good, he is so crucial, if he plays well the team play well. McKeon and Heneghan real real options now as starters even when we get everyone back both are very direct and can draw fouls etc. 2/3 Dalys, Murray, 2 Murtaghs, Darcy, Carey all more then likely be on the 26 against Clare so we will have very good options.

Solid performance today. Stack is just a class act. One of our best players. So dependable. I really hope Harney stays injury free because he's another brilliant player and the more good performances he puts in the more confidence he will get. 4 points out of 4 is brilliant
