I'd say it will be a Harps v Erne Gaels battle for the New York Cup with the holders being humiliated. In the Intermediates if it's a Devenish v Tempo final I hope it goes Devenish's way as Tempio are a bit too cocky of themselves. Newtown should take the honours to lift the Junior title. I hope many will agree with my predictions.

Fair few managerial casualties/departures already form the club scene. Who all is gone? Who are the likely candidates to replace them?

What Managers have left the club scene?

Fair few teams have underperformed Derrygonnelly and Ederney, so departures were always likely.

SFC Final Enniskillen v Erne Gaels is OFF pitch unplayable. Re-fixed for next Saturday 29th October at 8pm in Brewster Park. All tickets valid for refixed game.
Absolutely unforgiveable getting spectators to turn up to find that the Brewster pitch is waterlogged and only minutes of notice to say it was unplayable! When they were proposing to build the pitch they knew it was on a swamp. The Fermanagh GAA waste more money on the likes of Brewster Park and yon white elephant at Lissan.
WILL THEY EVER LEARN???
By the way will they reimburse me and all others with the fuel costs?

With Championship ever near and another county season coming, this may be a place to discuss it."
Couldn't agree more with Turniphead. The only county final or game of any variety not played in all of Ireland today because of the rain. I paid my £10 to watch on TV. I can't tune in next weekend for personal reasons so can I get my money back? Thousands spent on Brewster and millions being spent at Lissan and we can't find a pitch to play a county final. Don't come to me looking to sell a £100 ticket for feathering the Eagle's nest on Topped mountain.

Totally agree! Communication was confusing today and has led to alot of discontent by Gaa fans on what should be the club showcase of the year. Not another county club game stopped in Ireland today yet most places had their fair share of rain which wasn't graded the worst type. Shame on the County board and the mess they made of what were supposed to excellent state of the art facilities. What a joke (:

A well known GAA man once said that to build a stadium on what once was a marsh was madness and was proven right time after time. Back over a decade or so ago after the Brewster field was sinking to one end, loads of money was poured in to solve the problem by drainage and resurfacing. Yesterday's chaotic scene proves that it was indeed "madness" to build on what another poster described as a swamp.
So, what does that say about those in charge or have been in charge of major infrastructure projects in Fermanagh? Some wouldn't be blaming the grassroot GAA people across our the length and breath of our county for saying our county board officials are or have been amateur and an incompetent bunch money-wasters more interested in they own glory-hunting status than in employing proper managed strategic planning that should have been overseen by experts in the relevant sectors. Furthermore, who thinks that spending millions more on that windy hill of Lissan will be well spent?

Seems like a bit of Ekn Gaels bashing here as these critics know that some of our members are/were significantly involved with the development of Brewster & Lissan. Our club is proud of the magnificent work done by our volunteers over the years. It is because of our vision of certain past/present members of our club that Fermanagh was brought out of the dark ages and this has helped to educate & enlighten the rest of the county's clubs in both game skills and facility development. I think that this has irritated sad forum posters like Hairyhorses. However, such unwarranted criticism, also made by macca999, won't deter key members of our club from contributing to the vision we have for our county facilities.

The Fermanagh final must be in doubt again tonight with all the rain this week?

I couldn't put it better myself. Let the Enniskilleners reign supreme tonight in their great Brewster Park stadium and silenced these critics from the sticks!

Just out of curioisity, why do Enniskillen Gaels not have their won club pitch instead of sharing it with Fermanagh County team? Surely its better to keep a County ground seperate for maintaince etc.

Hi Fool, first of all get your spellings correct!
"Just out of curioisity, why do Enniskillen Gaels not have their won club pitch instead of sharing it with Fermanagh County team? Surely its better to keep a County ground seperate for maintaince etc."
Getting to your question, the answer is simple...the reason being it's cost effective to both our club and county with our club largely managing and maintaining.
Now a question of curiosity to the Cavan FoolsGold. Why do people say, "Even the Cavan dogs would refuse to eat it?"

I'd say you're an annoying teacher.

Anyway, you didn't bother answering the question, only nit picking at an auto -correct mistake.

A massive congratulations to our Enniskillen Gaels team who hammered Belleek to deservingly become the Fermanagh Senior Football Champions 2022 and for the 13th time, the New York Gold Cup winners!!!!!!!!!!! The final score was Enniskillen Gaels 3-12 (21) Erne Gaels 0-11. I feel so proud of all our squad and management who put so much into this season's games and indeed in the last few years as well and built a championship team worthy of today's reward which is proof of their superiority. Let's hope our lads march on to make an impact in the forthcoming Ulster Club Championship. I hope today's outcome silences the regular critics like Turniphead, BigtoeJoe, macca999, CavanFool to name but a few! I'm now off to join in our club's celebration and that will be something to remember.
