Hopefully John Maher's injury wasn't as bad as it looked but he looked to be in a lot of pain going off the field. Have to imagine that is his club season over. Hopefully can get back in time for Galway some time after Christmas.

Moycullen Vs Tuam- Standard was poor in this game I thought. Looked like a lower level game compared to the pace in the second game. Tuam always seem to find a way to lose these game but I will say Brian Mannion is their main man and was a big loss. Hard to know where Tuam stand they have quite a few up and coming footballers but they also have 5/6 who are in their late 30s/40s. I think they have missed a chance with this group but have a few good underage teams coming and will be back in the mix in 4/5 years.

Salthill vs Corofin. Very entertaining game, Salthill superb in the first half and then lost Maher and got cleaned out in midfield. This Corofin team is an average team.

If Maher was fit I have no doubt SK would win the final comfortably but now that he won't be Moycullen have a chance. Moycullen will have to clean out SK at Midfield to win this game. The eye test doesn't lie and there was a notable difference in pace and quality in these games yday evening and that's why I am siding with SK.

Ankle injury he got last night and stayed on to watched the rest of the game which suggests it's not as bad as it looked. He had a similar reaction against New York before taken off and was OK in a couple of weeks.

Maigh Cuillin supporter here - sincerely hope John Maher is ok for the club final. He's a fantastic leader for SK, and it would be a real shame if he had to miss out. We remember what it was like having Sean Kelly sidelined for a county final two years ago, losing a key player like that is a massive blow. Hope both teams are fully fit and we get the fair, hard-fought battle this final deserves.

They were very good last night to be fair to them. 3 o fee including a grugan free in front of the posts at a critical time. Brian Mannion a huge loss as well. Cooke coming on really got Moycullen going when they weren't motoring well

I actually thought we saw last night exactly why it wouldn't suit him. When a team drops 11 back he doesn't get the space. I thought Niall Walsh was a lot better and Jack McCabe in the second game

He'd be brought straight to hospital if broken than staying on to watch the rest of the game.

We didn't deserve to win either semi final although Salthill nearly blew it.

Hope Maher is OK

Again, Caltra the better team in intermediate semi

Fancy Spiddal. Look best equipped to return to senior and stay up.

Serious club for such small numbers.

Should Joyce ring Maghus Breathnach? What a score to win the match for Spiddal.

If Liam O Conghaile is fit can't see Caltra winning. A very strong physical and fit team with a nice mixture of tough teak lads and very skillful players.

Would have loved to see Tuam get through to final especially after Dunmore going out of it. But they are worthy finalists.

Cooke made a huge impact, kept at it after a bad attempt and poor pass then kicked 3 points to win it.
Salthill, small in stature but some runners attacking at angles, well done. Finnerty shower leadership to opt out of a 2 pt attempt and control the ball!! If they blew that lead it would be hard come back from it.
Caltra look good, the best in it this year.
Ballygar wont recover from that, what a lead to blow, hurlers to follow suit I'm afraid

Looking forward to both finals and at ht I was saying SK are the real deal but a near total collapse in 2nd half but had enough done to win. Maher looks like he is definitely out for final which is a shame and a huge loss for SK. I make Moycullen favourites with Maher out they just have such an athletic team but should be a cracking final. Spiddal with a great win looked in serious trouble at HT and Maghnus the hero again. He was the best goalie on show and PJ could do worse than get him in but that ship has probably sailed. Caltra look the real deal and play nice football but I just see Spiddal having too much for them especially if Liam O C can play more came on and kicked a point for Spiddal.

Thought Tuam looked the better team for large parts of this game and they will have huge regrets, I know Tuam missing 2 of there best players but moycullen had a few missing also even tho they could introduce Cooke who made the difference, moycullen controlled the game much better at stages, I think they won't get a much time on the ball against Salthill, shay was excellent for Tuam but needs to get himself right he looked like he was limping and knee heavily strapped,

Salthill were excellent in the first half Corofin very wasteful in possession which gave Salthill even more momentum than they already had, John Maher was a big loss to them but apart from the goal didn't really have much involvement, I was really disappointed in the second half that when the pressure came on Salthill that there big players never stood up Tomo was really poor and didn't add much, Kieran Brady was really good when introduced apparently had a knock all week really good in the air but he had a few bad turn overs that lead to 2/3 scores for Salthill, same as Ross Coen excellent point but at one stage Salthill ran passed him for a score as if he wasn't there, and he also had a very silly free, Corofin left 2 much to do in this one but nearly did what Corofin do, it will be an interesting final, I would suggest Salthill to shade it just about,

If Caltra get Shaun Keane back for the final I'd be very surprised if Spiddal can beat them. Himself and Alan Naughton up front should be too good at that level.

Sure Ballygar's lead was gone early in the 2nd half. A 5 point lead at half-time is nothing in football these days. Salthill almost threw away a much bigger lead the previous evening.
Ballygar recovered and got themselves level again after going behind. It was tight for the last 20 minutes and could have gone either way. A good competitive game.

Is there a chance he is back for final. Spiddal have 2 current co panelists Liam O C & Finian O Laoi. Maghnus and Antaine also represented Galway in past. Liam O Ceallaigh a fine footballer too. I think they will have too much for Caltra but it should be a good game. Looks like SK & Moycullen sat night under lights in Pearse and Spid & Caltra sun in Tuam. Hopeful of 2 good finals.

Unreal when you think of it -> Very small numbers, and bordered tightly from Bearna na Forbacha one side, MB the other side and Maigh gCuillinn for most of the mountain rd. down.
