Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "Simple enough exercise, we've had a perhaps disturbingly consistent selection throughout the NHL.

Murphy
Grealish D.Burke Morrissey/Fitzpatrick
Mannion McInerney F.Burke/Killeen
J.Cooney Glennon
Monaghan C.Cooney Fahy
Concannon Whelan C.Mannion

Alternates:-
Goalie :- Fahy
Backs :- TJ Brennan + the 2 above
Midfield :- Coen & David Burke
Forwards :- Niland & Hastings

Might pull a couple of 'springers' in the next 2 weeks, into that 23. They're badly needed, and 'form springers' too."
Im afraid that's the worst Galway hurling team in years.

If your expectations are low enough, you won't be disappointed

Can't see that team beat us not on current form anyway and a big following in the park behind us.

I'm more disappointed in the lack of maturing senior hurlers from all the young hurlers who think they're super stars.

No - teams in Senior B will not be competing for County Cup. Just for promotion to Senior A.

Highly unlikely imo that you'd know **** from shinola about what Galway's young hurlers 'think'. Have you conducted some sort of a survey on the subject matter at least?

All u have to do is look at all the minor titles Galway have won, parade them around like superstars and then 3 years later the bulk of them never heard of again except when they're in the pub telling stories to anyone that will listen them "I remember when I was a county minor" .
I'm afraid Galway hurling is in trouble for a few years.

That is the most ridiculous statement made on here in a while. Absolutely no truth in any of that comment. You should really think twice about posting stuff like that. Nothing good from pointless untruths like that.

Congratulations again to the Galway girls; another title won up in Croke Park. And playing a lovely brand of hurling too. Fair play to them. They're doing the county proud!

They're fantastic. Murray has added depth to the panel, so I expect them to have a right cut at the All-Ireland again this year.
There's very little between Galway, Kilkenny and Cork on any given day. Tipp are also closing the gap, which is good for the game.

Have you forgotten the total shambolic collapse against Waterford just a few weeks ago…I think it's Galway who should be saying they can't see themselves losing to Wexford.

No I think Galway have more problems than Wexford i.e. no pace in the team, cannot play "through the lines" or cannot score goals against the stronger teams plus Wexford are at home. Advantage Wexford.

On the other hand you have forwards who are much better at winning their own ball especially as Chin is unlikely to start. You have a panel full of underage and senior all Ireland winning players which should stand to you if the game is close coming to the end. You have a manager from Kilkenny who might instil their never say die attitude and intensity into your game. We are missing our best cornerback/man marker. We got beat by nearly 20 points in our last competitive game. For all your points and mine though I still think whichever team plays closest to their best form will win. Unfortunately for both of us that isnt a given as it would be with most of the Munster counties and Kilkenny.

I can't wait for the Galway v Wexford match and I believe it's a flip of the coin who will win. I'd give a slight edge to Wexford as the home team and the more settled lineup. Win or lose this is a great opportunity for Galway to see what they have. I don't go by League form at all. Galway Abu!!!

Who is "our best cornerback / man marker" you are referring to - is it Morrissey? I didn't think he was a long term injury. I wouldn't be putting too much money on either Galway or Wexford winning Liam this year TBH.

Shane Reck. Even kept Tony Kelly to just 2 points from play in our championship game against Clare last year. Hes out for the whole Round Robin. Agree as regards Liam- I'm not rushing to the bookies to back either of us. If either of us win Leinster then we will be in a semi from where anything can happen. If either or both of us dont win Leinster I'd say we will be doing very well to get to an AI semi at all tbh.

If we can make it out of the round Robin we will be doing well and I think we will anything after that is a bonus .
