Hard luck to the minors, some fight and grit shown. Donnellan and Callanan look like right good players

Joke of a red card too, the tipp player and manager should be ashamed of themselves

Replying To foreveryoung:  "Very hard luck on your minors today. Great game, pure ding-dong stuff. Sometimes in losing a tight game like that, the losers learn more going forward. I hope that bitter memories of today's defeat will drive on some of those young lads in their future years."
If bitter memories of defeat were a driver we could power the world I reckon :)

But all you can ask on any day you don't win is that everyone gives their maximum and players and management did that, terrific attitude and work ethic from everyone, we now have a bunch of players who are tuned to the demands of a full season of matches at 16/17, we have not had that before last year and hopefully it will have a positive impact on our fortunes going forward.
The two best performances of the season were the QF and SF so when they needed to show up as a unit they did. It's encouraging.

We will see what we have at U20 next season, the wheel keeps turning.

I listened to Paul Bellew on the Maroon and White podcast yesterday on the way to Sligo. It is very good and he covers everything, with no questions dodged or fudged. It also dismissed the angle a certain opinionated individual presented to the media after the Dublin defeat on other podcasts and print media. It is well worth a listen.

lol. Very true. I've been expecting them for a couple of years now. I suppose Thomas's and Loughrea would be the favorites this year.

Agreed, very good listen, Paul seems an impressive and articulate individual. Fair play to him coming on.

Not Clarinbridge, Turloughmore or Loughrea I would expect.

I think Clarinbridge are the main threat to Thomas' this year. Saw them in the league a few weeks ago and they have a very deep squad with TJ Brennan at 3, Sean Kilduff at 6, Liam Leen with Gavin Lee midfield and their forward line come championship time will have Evan, Aaron Niland, Mark Kennedy, Cian Salmon in it. Throw in the other few Galway u20s as well like Josh Ryan, Dylan Dunne and Sean Murphy around the field.

Oh ok. I read it wrong. Yeah it's hard to see a dark horse coming out of nowhere to win it all.

Fair enough. You're going with the same 4 as last year. Very brave of you. I'll be brave and pick GORT as my dark horse!

Ha we will have to see the group draws but I'd have Gort as one of my favourites to get relegated! Not a hope of Gort winning the Co. Cup.

Well done to Oranmore Maree. Another Div 1 Feile title for Galway after Turlough and Clarinbridge winning it the last few years. The Lohan stock from Clare in that team is strong. Frank involved and captained by nephew Gus Lohan who is a savage hurler.

Should have said that Gus is Brian Lohan's nephew and son of Frank Lohan
