Yesterday was more about Clare's limitations as a team though. Actually not a good reflection on the Munster championship how such an ordinary side could reach the provincial final. Wexford should give Clare a right rattle and both Cork / Kilkenny will be much stiffer exams for Limerick.

Replying To BostonGuy:  "Just saw the Limerick captain thank the 53 people in the back room team. That's an awful lot of people volunteering and donating their time for the cause!! or like I said last year, the game is amateur in name only. I'm sure some will say you still have to win the game on the pitch, that's true but 53 people managing everything from video, statistics, medical, S&C, psychology, masseurs, marketing, PR, diets etc helps a lot. Look up to the sky next time and see if there is a drone making real time analysis and decisions during a game. We are at the Sham-amateurism stage right now where we think there are maybe 5-8 teams that can win an All Ireland where in reality in hurling and football there are 2-3 max, in time more and more counties will be seeking seeking refuge in the McDonagh and Ring cups."
It is as about as "amateur" as the rugby now! lol

Dublin beat us on the day it mattered.

They were terrible at the weekend but they were closer to Kilkenny on Saturday than Galway were all the same.

And they are still in it, while we are finished.

Whether we would have given Kilkenny a better game is irrelevant.

Limerick didn't let Clare play. We will have to bring that same intensity if we play Clare.

I am talking about inconsistency - people say that Galway are inconsistent but if Dublin played like they played against Galway (and even against KK) in the round robin, they would not have been beaten by 16 points in the final. If Galway did that, there would have been a lot more gnashing of teeth from journalists / pundits about how inconsistent they were. This year Galway were consistent i.e. consistently poor.

There is an expectation around Galway that there simply isn't around Dublin

Nobody expects Dublin to consistently win big games so therefore nobody gnashes anything. This is normal.

i doubt its 53 backroom people but 53 people in total is tight as well. If i look at Galway Footballers against Westmeath as an example and i suspect it would be typical of most of the higher level senior setups in football or hurling, There was 26 in the match day panel, 4 on standby and 9 on extended panel =39 players.
Then you have PJ, Scan,John Divilly, Cian O Neill Micheal O Donmhail =5 ,Sean Rhattigan and Ian Hynes =2 logistics . physio, doctor ,s and c (think there are 2 including Cian Breathnach McGinn) so 50 before stats /videoing (two as far as i know)/nutrition/psychologist/ etc . It all mounts up

Well if we dont bring intensity to the Clare match after the last few meetings we may throw our hat at it.

Good luck to the minor hurlers today

We will need plenty to go right but it's winnable all the same

They have done well to recover to this point after day 1, let's hope we get a good performance today

Very hard luck on your minors today. Great game, pure ding-dong stuff. Sometimes in losing a tight game like that, the losers learn more going forward. I hope that bitter memories of today's defeat will drive on some of those young lads in their future years.

Brilliant performance from both teams especially with Galway being a man down for most of the game. Couldn't be prouder of their heart and effort. Many of them lads will be on next years team. Galway Abu.

Senior league final is Clarinbridge against Sarsfields in two weeks time. Sarsfields beat Castlegar last night, the Bridge had already beaten Thomas' handily in the other semi final.
