Replying To galway19:  "Campbell out of the semi final with concussion according to Fergal Healy. An absolutely awful tackle which should have been a red card. Killeen will probably start in his place next week. Good win for the lads though without ever hitting top gear. It is ironic that the first year they enter Leinster, they win all five games by double digits and a good few of the squad are underage again next year."
A red card all day long. A very dangerous challenge. Best wishes to the Galway player. The ref consulted with his umpires and still couldn't get the decision right. It did seem that Kilkenny set out to "rough up" Galway. Galway easily the better team and Rabbitte and Niland up front are real prospects.

Replying To Viking66:  "They were very slow and heavy legged I thought. And one dimensional in possession. Your lads ran rings around them."
Being slow and heavy legged could be quite advantageous, when the objective is to take a man out with a very hefty shoulder/elbow to the head/neck area.

I'm in no way defending the kk player(red card all day)..the fact that they are watching senior hurlers get away with similar challenges might be a reason for some younger players to see what they get away with..when you see what has happened in senior in last few weeks,I'm wondering what officials are seeing..last night was right in front of the umpires and was still only deemed a yellow..great to see Galway win last night and brill to see Offaly/Wexford qualify for 20 final..we don't need the big 3 coming back dominating..

Replying To katser:  "If Kilkenny are the 2nd best Leinster have to offer at Minor level....it looks like we will be winning Leinster Minor titles regularly!! I thought Kilkenny were very bad and dirty!
Best wishes to the East Galway man D. Campbell he took a rotten sneaky clatter to the head, and definitely his presence at no 6 was missed in the 2nd half.
Hope he will be ok to play next weekend in the All Ireland Semi Final."
At minor, yet not u-20 it seems. Galway have been unable to beat Kilkenny recently in that age grade, despite having beaten them quite easily at u-17, 3 years earlier. This years u-20s a case in point. This years Galway minors, excellent and all as they they seem, will probably reach the same conclusion in 2026, unless the powers that be in Galway get the finger out, and right quick too.

Replying To tommy k:  "Yes a great win for the minors. They started to take too much out of the ball in the second half at times instead of letting in direct but apart from that they were well on top. I thought that at least 2 KK players should have been given red cards as they were dangerous tackles (yellow cards are only a cop out and are practically meaningless) and as mentioned Dylan Campbell had to go off with concussion and will miss the next match against Cork. Aaron Niland very classy from play / frees as always and Jason Rabbitte was excellent also. I was thinking during the game that he is the spitting image of the father Joe who wasn't bad also back in the day but the son could be even better!"
Donnacha!

Yes I agree - it seems that if you are from one of the "traditional" counties head high hits that often cause concussion or worse are ok as these counties have "traditional" hurlers so surely they couldn't have meant to take out their opponents deliberately!

Verification is a process that journalists use to fact check and verify sources. What's the statistical chance that two 'Dylans' would be numbered consecutively on any minor side? Especially with neither being Bob Dylan.

I don't need to. I know what his name is, and it ain't 'Dylan'

Tell you what, why don't you make some predictions, or even 'a' prediction, then you can talk.

Otherwise all we get from you is monday morning quarterbacking. We don't need that, we can all watch the games.

And that concludes the voting.....all votes are in and it looks like we have a winner. I was correct! Don't mind what the 42 listed they obviously put down the wrong name.
Don't worry about it We can't all be perfect.
