I don't pray. Were you at the match though? If you were I'd be worried why you would ask that question. Or sorry, art thou would wonder how one can't tell.

I've no link to Clongeen but ended up being at both their semi final and final, i can confirm they were worthy winners of both and didn't require officiating assistance.

I Was listening to it on the radio, seemed like good value for the win as well. Big win for Naas - I have a feeling you will get even longer odds on the Shels for the next day.
Great to see it though.

Think the fact that we ran our football championship 2nd should help our clubs in Leinster. Great result great to see them win.

Think its the 1st time the county football champions have won since 2004, couldn't have picked a better year as their playing in croke park Saturday week.

Yeah Starlights beat Rathvilly after a replay, but I think the Leinster championship was actually played in 2005 that year (but not sure of that at all). I wonder is it the first time ever our senior football winners progressed further than our hurlers in Leinster?

Huge win, and should be a boost for the game in the county in general. In fairness to Shels, they play an attacking brand of football, and if this leads to more clubs adopting their approach, the overall quality should improve.

In fairness Beano Gusserane ran up good scores too.

I know that too, and they would have been worthy winners had they beaten Shels. Truth is, the days of defensive football seem to be gone, or are certainly on their last legs. Even Tyrone play a more attractive brand than they get credit for.

I was at the match.

The only controversial incident that you could be referring to, that helped Clongeen, was when the Cloughbawn full back was (correctly) black carded for dragging an opponent down off the ball and was subsequently (correctly) given a straight red for throwing his gumshield at the linesman walking off.

A bit more competitiveness in the under-20 this weekend at least. Although Buffers Alley are running riot so far which is mad to see. But fair play to the club for putting effort into the sport at under-age. Ferns had a big win against district rivals again. Castletown have gone back a bit in the Gorey district.

I assume the OLI/Fintan's and Mogueen Gaels draw means the championship will be delayed another week? I do think Martin's are out in front, with nothing really separating the other three (perhaps Gorey next in the pecking order).

Cloughbawn dominated the 1st quarter, Clongeen dominated the remainder of the game and deserved their win, simple as that.

Teams responsible to how the opposition set themselves up, in the Wexford championship they used kicking the ball in quick as well as working it through the hands. What are teams supposed to do if there are sweepers in front of the full forward line? It's the reality of the game.

Not undermining the Shels in any way but given the record of Wexford county champions in the last 15 years its mad they were 1 of the teams who got a bye to the Leinster QF.

No they didn''t kick the ball because they don't have the skill set to do it, the only 2 players that could kick the ball were the malones and the goalkeeper.
Fair play to them to stick to there game plan, they're a tough team and very fit. The wet pitch helped alot.

It's open draw as far as I know and it's just luck of the draw. Also we they were on the side where they would play the winner of an all D4 clash. Now up against a D1 team, that's a massive step up.
I hear RTE are showing both Semis live.
