Got to say the Dublin team while tackling hard and on the edge were very dignified in defeat, it can't be easy to lose the 5 in a row to underdogs and a team no one thought would be in the final. That been said the way they conducted themselves after the final whistle is a credit to themselves , their management and their county.

Just one thing the Meath men could learn from today. Tactics on the field. Vicky wall was well marshalled even though she gave a fantastic performance, Emma duggan (who's only 18) was tremendous her look up to see keeper off the line and attempt the chip was something only a fearless kid would do. But in second half when both Emma and Vicky were been well marked the team had the cuteness to free up Stacey grimes (the free taker ) tiny and all as she is the team knew that if they got her into a position she'd take the score and the point that she got was when dubs were coming right back into game she went into the pocket where she knew she'd score. Got the ball and popped it over. Tbh that in my opinion was the winning of the game. Leadership on the field and a football head on. Now so often in the past their male counterparts don't think like that. It's about thinking on yer feet

Huge congratulations to Meath ladies on a brilliant win. Hard luck to Dublin. Lots of counties could learn from Meath today. The appitite and hunger they showed was unreal. if only my county had that lol. Enjoy the celebrations.

The ref did his level best to help Dublin but it looks like you wanted him to hand it on a plate to them,ah now to win 5 in a row the team must be able to win it on their own steam,Meath were fantastic,a tonic of skill and movement whether defending or attacking!

Replying To CiarraiMick:  "Well done Meath. Deserved victory and first time ever a team came straight up from intermediate to win an all ireland. Dublin went down like the champions they are and Mick Bohan very classy in defeat. Today is Meath day though and we'll done!"
I think a few of your fellow county me could take a lesson from Mick Bohan on how to accept defeat instead of blaming management, referees, linesmen, and the player's who put in a huge effort throughout the year and accept that this Kerry team have been completely over hyped and have no god given right to win every All Ireland. I'm not including your good self Mick or the many genuine Kerry supporters who follow your county through thick and tin.

The centre back, O'Sullivan no. 12, while slight girls are serious ballers.

Emma Duggan directs like Trevor Giles. A really well brought out team.

You need to read my post again I said the better team won but don't agree that the ref did Dublin any favours

Well done Meath. Outstanding performance.
Well done Westmeath. Well done to my own county Wicklow. Imagine how good we'd be if our 2 best club sides players played with the County team. We'd be a heck of a prospect for the Intermediate Championship that's for sure.

Unbelievable that Emma Duggan plays so well when she is only 18. I agree , thought the same watching her today very Giles like in her play.
Some very slight girls on that team, but they are very tigerish in everything they do. Delighted to have been seen this display. I'll be honest I didn't think they'd win. I knew they'd do themselves proud. But they believed they could do it.

Well done to the Meath ladies. What is it with Meath supporters living along the Louth border near Drogheda coming in and mouthing off about 1957 and 2010? They give the rest of Meath supporters a bad name. I seen with my own eyes today.

Well said, today was one of those days were all the best parts of the GAA were showcased. A brilliant spectacle, amazing atmosphere and what a showpiece and spectacle.

A special day to be a from Meath and Dunboyne

First well done Meath they really wanted, moving up a grade and then toppling Champions is fantastic and delighted for them.

Mick Bohan is an honest straight talker and shows respect. He and his ladies will be back.
