I think Kerry would have beaten them because they were primed to peak two weeks earlier than the refixed Tyrone game. Hard to tell though because I thought Armagh would win Ulster before the championship started and Monaghan did well to beat them.

Mayo average enough in the end; even a shambolic Galway side pushed them...
I genuinely thought they may do it before; but now believe they may never win it...

Yeah I think they've had their chips as they say in John Bulls land, they just could never get over the line and I think they will regress now, Mayo never had the forwards to win the the big one. I expect to see a few more retirements this year, will Keegan stay on? I think Boyle will retire and in my opinion Aidan O'Shea should be dropped completely, suppose Horan will keep him on though that's if he stays on himself of course.

Connacht was very poor this year. Both Galway and Roscommon have plenty to think about but both look set to retain their Managers which is surprising.

Are they your predictions for the final supersub? Surely it would depend on the draw?

You are correct Viking66 (Wexford) it depends on the draw and I have no idea what the draw is, however, in advance of all that I'm thinking the two named counties in their respective province will be the main challengers and the county in Bold will be in my opinion be provincial champions, - - at least.

If Mayo are a poor team, where does that leave Galway, Roscommon, Dublin. Just asking.

Is it definitely up to Horan whether or not o Shea plays?

Comhghairdeas mór to our neighbours, the game couldn't have gone better for Tyrone in terms of control. I've seen a lot of comments about Mayo decision making and playing poorly which is no doubt true but I think sometimes many people don't realise: Tyrone force you into that a lot of the time. I am especially for Donegal man Ronan McNamee ;-) In all seriousness, a few of those Tyrone lads have been on the road a long enough time and it's great for them, thinking of Donnelly and Harte in particular. The two boys in the middle of the field were phenomenal in the final there and the entire team performance in the final would give you confidence in Tyrone that there are more All-Ireland's in this squad, no doubt.

Enough has been written and said on Mayo and it's history repeating itself in many ways but being honest, outside of the Dubs I don't think any team in the country could really get away with losing their captain, talisman and best forward for an entire season. Young O'Donoghue obviously did well on the frees but Cillian O'Connor is one of the best in the country I just think when things weren't going right there in the final, they really missed his leadership especially.

As someone mentioned here, we're already plotting Tyrone's downfall in Donegal, Armagh, Monaghan and Derry but no doubt they'll be only delighted with that as well. Looking forward to next year already, maith sibh Tír Eoghain.

Shambolic was the description the Galway poster above had for our football setup currently. Hard to argue with that. Given that Roscommon were the only team we beat this year, what comes after shambolic?
