Brendán Óg Duffy captained Monaghan U20 to the Ulster Final last night. He was killed in a car crash at Clontibret on his way home.

The most tragic news circulating online at the minute. Monaghan u20 captain has passed away en route home from winning the Ulster championship. Sincerest condolences to any of his family or friends that may be here. You truly just never know… Ar dheis dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Shocking news to hear this news this morning...sympathy to his family and friends and entire Monaghan GAA...brought back memories of young Meath Minor player Liam Tolan who was killed some years ago in the hours after Meath beat Offaly in LMFC.. life can be very strange and terrible to see such young lives lost..their families and communities are in our thoughts and indeed all killed on our roads...so many over the years...
