Can We Bring Back The Red Thumbs To The Forum.

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I put this up on the Limerick forum last week by mistake I asked for it to be moved to the national forum but it wasn't done, first world problems I suppose.

Anyway I think it's time for the red thumbs to be brought back to the forum, and im someone who has had probably 20 red thumbs to every 1 green thumb. I think it gives a better perspective on how a comment is received on a thread.

I really can't see anyone not in favor of the red thumb, why would they unless they are sensitive, super sensitive, paranoid etc. sure why not, it's only a thumb not a finger.

Bring it back. PC nonsense gone mad. Anybody who would take offence deserves all the red thumbs they get.

I take it from the sarcastic tone of your post, your not in favour of red thumbs. But if we had them you would be able to give me 1and put me in my place further ;) .

What-ever you like sticking where the sun don't shine is your business, I don't want to know.

Well now as the poster who got the most red thumbs ever on hs I use to enjoy them. They never interacted with me on any topic but I'd post good luck and get 20 of them. I always took pleasure in knowing one or two posters had to log in and out of multiple accounts to red thumb me. I enjoyed it so so much, hasn't been the same since it went. If they are to return I'm all for it, however have a drop down to see who red thumbed, in other words have courage of ur convictions. I'll frequently disagree with people, but I add my disagreement not hide behind a red thumb.
As I said I am the most red thumbed poster on hs. No one can take that away from me

Well when you see the many disguises here, me thinks there are more disguises than posters, sure doesn't the creator of PC live in an everyday disguise.

To be honest, the whole thing could do with a bit of a revamp

My sarcastic tone means i don't care weather there's red thumbs or not, you created the thread so obviously an important topic for you.

No to red thumbs but please could you look at revamping the entire forum and bring it closer to what most other forums are like with layout, features etc

Why would you be opposed to red thumbs? It gives people the opportunity to express an opinion. If you are big enough to express an opinion should you not be big enough to accept people's opinions in relation to what you have to say?

They dont give people to express an opinion and people just use them maliciously

Very few forums use them for good reason.

Giving a thumbs down is not expressing an opinion, if someone feels strongly enough to give a thumbs down then I think they should get off the ditch and have their say, instead of hiding behind childish emojis.

Because people hide behind them
They dont help debate which is what a forum is about,
How many forums use red thumbs/down ranking of posts?

Just have likes/green thumbs
