Exclamation marks are not used for that effect my friend.

Take Cavan and Meath. If there was a match between them most would say it could go either way.

Now why will Cavan's fate be any different to Meath? 'Oh we won't roll over, we're tough, we came back against Antrim' etc. Could Meath beat Donegal on a November Sunday with Donegal not playing well, absolutely.

So forgive us for not believing in you Cavan. Your enthusiasm makes Royal Dunne look like a Meath football cynic.

This is a highly entertaining thread.

Hard to know how the weekend games will go. Dublin haven't been tested, going to be extremely cold and they could be caught cold. Cavan are battle hardened, could be interesting if they focus on stopping the quick kickouts

Mayo flattering to deceive again, their big players such as Aidan O'Shea having a terrible season, a genuine upset could be on the cards here.

We do put out a team in the UK competitions. Why don't ye invest more in hurling?

You see it's each to their own.

Replying To CC2020:  "You can repeat oh wow all day. They're a higher ranked team than Cavan for the past 10 years. Roscommon have beaten Mayo, the only team to put it up to Dublin consistently, a couple of times over the past 5 years.

Also you rubbish the league form constantly. Isn't it amazing how Dublin won so many recent leagues and division 1 is generally populated by 6/7 of the best teams in the country.

The last time Cavan won a championship game in Croke Park was 1952. 68 years ago! And you're telling us they're a championship team!!"
Wrong, we won a championship game there in 2013. Against London, sure, but you're still wrong

Replying To cavanman47:  "Christ almighty the Leinster brigade are out in force.

Instead of hoping someone finally beats Dublin, they're praying we get hammered so it excuses their pathetic performances in the province over the past decade (not sure the county who doesn't even enter it have any leg to stand on here).

Look, I'll be proud of this Cavan team whatever happens tomorrow. Winning Ulster is not easy, and it absolutely 100% puts us above Meath, Westmeath, Laois and the rest of Leinster outside Dublin. But we won't be going out to lose by 6 or 7 and take the moral victory (or 11 for our bragging westmeath man). I will be incredibly disappointed if we lose by any amount tomorrow. The Cavan team and management will feel the same."
You're going to be incredibly disappointed tomorrow. Play to the best of your ability. Be only 8 down at 60min and lose by 20.

68 years since you won in Croke Park.

You post reminds me of Irish Rugby teams going out all bite and ******* to play New Zealand and Australia in the 1970s and 1980s. They ran out of steam. He'll do likewise. The heavy beating will occur after 60min when you're gasping for air."
lol. you're good at the fishing aren't you!!!!!! hahaha

Like a lot of neutrals, would like to see a Cavan -Tipperary final; no disrespect to Dublin or Mayo but I think it will be Dublin (by a wide margin) and Mayo.

To lighten the mood I think I'll make a silly Cavan joke.. Call it frisky Friday..

What have Monaghan and a pregnant cow got in common?

They're both near Caaavaan!

Gets coat and leaves the forum ;)

I'll jump for joy if Cavan win. Sincerely. Ye think the rest of Leinster are losers. I get it. But I'm saying I think Cavan are like the rest of Leinster. Will be glad to be proven wrong.

Get yourself a record book and a nice pair of reading glasses lad. It was much more recent than that.

I'll give you a clue: it was the year your footballers headed to Britain to play in their championship because the Leinster junior championship was deemed a bridge too far.

That was the year ye played mighty London in Croke Park.

Meanwhile we had just 6 of the last7 hurling all Irelands. Did i tell you 'lad' i was a treble star? Gaelic football, hurling and handball. No ball too big or too small for me.

Just a wee poem for you Tonguey! Good luck tomorrow!

I knew a passionate young man from Cavan,
No BS from Kilkenny footballers he was having,
Seventy years since John Joe was about,
But this young ho*r had no doubts,
His boys the Dubs they would ravage 'em.

Are you finally admitting you're wrong? You said that multiple times even when you were told otherwise. It's ok, you can say you're wrong
