How was James Madden given permission to with Ballyboden on Saturday? Conor Mckenna played with his club during the off season and his club weren't happy. But that 2 months ago. The Afl season starts in March

McKenna is an important first team player now in Australia. I don't know what Madden's status is at his club

So you've seen him play all his 156 games for club and county?

"took 9 steps against limerick in last years all ireland semi final aswell"

Ah get over yourself! Kilkenny beat Limerick 7 months ago, and fully deserved their victory. Stop your whinging"
Agreed. Leftback it's time to move on.
You don't want to sound like the Kilkenny lads after the final."

Replying To Jab.Lift:  "No tinted glasses on today SouthCounty, I've seen Slaughtneil a fair few times over the last number of years as a player and know their behaviour very well, trash talk is a big part of their game to get under the opposition's skin, they actually played well against Dunloy in the Ulster Final when they simply let themselves do a bit of hurling but today was a totally different game, they seemed to have to revert to old methods and tactics(bully's with hurls is what their manager tried to say they weren't) some players were obviously well briefed on how to mark the opposite player using a brand of football defending and checking, well sorry you ain't gonna rough up a team with the experience of Ballyhale, imagine if they had let the shackles off as they did in the last 10 what might have been !!!!!!
Felt the shamrocks could have responded when the needed too, done enough to get over the line on a sticky January pitch in newry - Croker will be a different sod and a vast amount of room for both teams to play in.....

As Shefflin said they will let their hurling do the talking and they did- a few Ballyhale players could've got caught up in the attention they received but they kept their cool and continued to hurl....now that's pure class"
Can't agree jab lift and on another day Fennelly could have been blown for overcarrying. Slaughtneil play a good hard brand of hurling laced with skil and to imply they are bullies with hurls is ridiculous. Good tackling is massive in the modern game! Love to see it. Some game between two great teams and Ballyhales experience and nous just about got them over the line. Great watch!

Both teams playing defensively.

Game is quite scrappy as a result. Corofin with the extra man will win easily enough now but they were struggling big time 15 v 15.

Conor Lane doing as well as anyone could expect with this type of game but the sending off is the big turning point, a pity because it looked like Corofin were going to have to dig deep to win but as is they should cruise to the 3 in a row. Some achievement by them.

Are you for real, how could anyone single out Kilcoo for being toxic watching that, hadn't the moral courage to go on and win it with an extra man. Didn't deserve to win it in normal time
S and C comes into it now

Jesus Corofin with 15 behind the ball against 14.

They showed absolutely no ambition in the last quarter and just tried to cynically see out the game. I'm glad they were caught at the end and both teams have to try and win it properly.

Some of the 'tackling' is toxic by Corofin!

Wonderful game in the finish. Great and very sensible refereeing. Tremendous duels all over the field. A wonderful advertisement for the game.

Yes very scrappy and defensive but the last few stages of the match were entertaining. Can see a few more sending offs now in extra time.

Too much messing and scrapping at the end from Corofin has come back to bite them in the backside!

Yes MesAmis....very easily. Thought Lundy got what he deserved in the tunnel for what he got up to in the last minute. Not many Corofin lads rushing in to help him out either. Kilcoo look to have the upper hand but then again....this is Corofin. Expect to see Molloy, Farragher to come back on.

Can see very little of merit in this sport anymore. Players booting the ball back towards their own goal. The entertainment if you can call it that is when the ball doesn't feature. We want our football back !
