Limerick SHC semi-final pairings confirmed

The scene is set for a Limerick SHC semi-final double-header at the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday week after Doon and Monaleen came through last Sunday’s quarter-finals.

Doon will meet holders Na Piarsaigh in a repeat of the last two finals following a comfortable 2-28 to 1-14 victory over Adare. Goals from Donal Coughlan and Pat Ryan at the start and end of the game secured the 2024 champions’ safe passage into the final four.

The other quarter-final between local rivals Monaleen and Mungret St Paul’s was a much closer affair which was decided by Lorcan Lyons’ late point for the former. Shane Hassett scored 0-9, while county panellist Donnacha O’Dalaigh chipped in with 0-4 from play as Monaleen prevailed by 0-21 to 1-17 to set up an historic semi-final date with Kilmallock.
