Donegal moved into the semi-finals of the Ulster U20 football championship thanks to a 1-12 to 1-11 win over Derry in Owenbeg last night.
Shane Callaghan’s point at the death proved the difference between the sides in the end as the visitors recorded their second win in as many weeks to progress through to the last four.
Max Campbell struck a goal inside the opening minute for Donegal before the Oak Leafers netted themselves in front with a Cody Rocks goal in the 24th minute.
Callaghan levelled the sides in the run up to half-time (1-6 to 1-6) and Donegal would pull ahead with late scores via Tomas Carr (two-point free) and Kevin Muldoon ahead of Ger Dillon’s free from beyond the arc levelling the derby and Callaghan coming up with a last-gasp winner.

In Omagh, Tyrone bounced back from their first-round defeat to Cavan by handing Down a 4-23 to 1-14 defeat.
The Red Hands were 0-6 to 0-1 up when Brian Gallagher struck their first goal in the eight minute and more majors via Gallagher and Shea McDermott (2) would see them towards an emphatic victory in the end.
Meanwhile, Monaghan saw off Antrim by 1-16 to 0-10 in Dunsilly, where Max McGinnitty struck the game’s only goal late on and Armagh cruised to a 2-26 to 0-10 victory over Cavan at the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds.
The hosts dominated the first-half to lead by 1-17 to 0-4 at half-time, with Fergal Boylan netting their goal, and they raise the green flag again through Sean Burke late on to inflict an emphatic first loss on the Breffni lads.
