Dublin were the only county not represented at yesterday’s Leinster SFC launch in Naas due to the ongoing Ger Brennan disciplinary case.

While the Dublin ladies had Leah Caffrey in attendance at the joint Leinster GAA / LGFA promotional event, there was no Dublin men’s footballer present.

The no-show comes as Dublin GAA contests the proposed 12-week suspension handed down to Ger Brennan arising from the half-time incident involving Galway strength and conditioning coach Cian Breathnach McGinn during the final round of the Allianz Football League in Salthill.

Both were red-carded by referee Fergal Kelly before the second half resumed, with a shorter eight-week ban proposed for Breathnach McGinn. The Dublin manager’s case is due to be heard by the Central Hearings Committee in the coming days.
