A man that hurt after losing but always so gracious.I remember seeing tv footage of him in the Offaly drrssing room in 82 praising Offaly and Eugene McGee altho broken inside. God rest Micko. That man had everything, even the looks as Marty alluded to at his funeral. Apart from the physical aspects of the game, Micko had an amazingly deep understanding of human psychology. But all that aside, I think I heard an anecdote somewhere that Micko was either the first minor (or even senior) player from South Kerry to have been selected to play for the Kerry county team.
