What are you on about ? Did you even read what the games were about ? The games were specifically for the everyone to see all the proposed rule changes in action. At congress next month all rule changes will be voted on. Those they pass will come into effect at club and county in 2025. There's you on some rant about something else. Whatever the rule changes coaches will adapt to accordingly

They were beat by Inniskeen in the 2016 hurling semi final. Inniskeen and monaghan haps hurling club played in the final of that year. this is only 8 finals in the row they have been in.

Aghabog v Toome league final

Drumhown v Eire OG Championship final

Intermediate relegation

Harps v Clones

Blackhill v Emyvale..

Thoughts on this weekend games?"
Aghabog
Drumhowan
Clones
Blackhill

Junior league is hard to call.
Wonder how much interest Harps will have

Clones and blackhill win leaves those two + harps on 4 points. I would say the harps will have a lot of interest in getting a win.

TOOME X 5
EIRE OG X 1
CLONES X 3
EMYVALE X 10

With the harps score difference they would be more or less safe bar a big loss? Blackhill would be down unless they won big. My maths could be wrong

Not a bad weekend for toome. They must be a bit disappointed but fra mcphillips has proven now he has what it takes to win at all levels in Monaghan. I could see him on the back room team with Monaghan soon and then maybe get the main job in the next two years?

Just coming on late to this post. Toome have won. Drumhowan to win the junior championship. Don't know how they're not senior. I think harps might beat clones by 2 points and I think Blackhill will have too much hunger over Emyvale. All tight games though and there won't be much to separate them. Drumhowan will have Monday booked off work I would think

No you're correct, it would take a calamity for harps to go down ……but why leave it to chance!

I'm not saying all these games won't be tight. I actually think the junior final should be a good game but can only see drumhowan winning. I've been at 3 of their games the year and their pace, power and athleticism is a step above eire og. I wonder will they take Monday and Tuesday off work ?

Wasn't at the junior league final but aghabog seem to be flying early doors but toome reigned them in, scoring a late goal to win. Fair play to them, small pick, down a key player and they got the job done. However i would suspect they'll struggle next year but that shouldn't take away from their win. Poor enough year for the bog, wilting in the crunch games. I fancy drumhowan later.

He left killanny a senior club to take over toome a junior club at the start of the year so I'd question both his ambitions and motives as a manager above all else ……

It's not over until the fat lady sings but in saying that the harps should be safe enough….

The standard and Scarcity of refs is poor enough as it is without bombarding them with more rules….i would fear for the club scene if these rules are passed….

Absolutely… never heard of a manager leave a club after they bring them senior … surely you'd want to challenge yourself!
