Not at all, you should endure the sweet nature of defeat like most other counties!

Where do I start....

We scored 19 points but had 17 wides - shocking shooting.
Early in the game we had 13 scores from 30 attempts.

As for 3 consecutive breaches of the 3 man up rule - unforgiveable.
Handing Armagh scores. We couldnt believe it on the Hill.

Anyone who thought or still thinks Bugler is our main man, is off their rocker.
A blind man can see - Con is.

On the positives - Lee, John, EOD back is a major plus.
Hopefully Murch, Murph and of course Con is back in 2 weeks.
I can see Armagh resting some players v Galway, so a defeat v Derry and we are out.

The lack of quality in depth is glaring at this stage.

Bar the shooting, I though we could have actually won this game. We had so many chances in the 2nd half.
For an underdog, we actually played ok, but made far too many mistakes.

Based on performances and results to far, there are just 3 teams in line for SAM, and for me, one of them looks well ahead of the 2 Ulster teams.

I know Dessie is nursing players back, but it is all or nothing v Derry now, in the next game.
I think the couple of weeks should hopefully get them right.

Finally, I know I have said it before but this 2 points from a free, is ridiculous.
2 pointer should only be from play, and even then, it should be from outside the 45, imo.
That and the forward mark rule need to be scrapped at year end.
They should have tweaked those 2, after the league.

Anyway, roll on Sat week - I reckon in Breffni Park.

I agree Barney - it is definitely a game we should have won.

Replying To Onion_Sack:  "Armagh defo need to give the Dubs a thanking after handing the victory to them on a plate!"
We gifted it to them alright. Terrible shot conversion rate.

On a side note, the way things are going, it wont be long before the Dubs are playing a hell of a lot more games back home in the Neller. An easy solution would be to expand the main stand upwards. Plenty of space behind it, and still leave access to the Craobh Chiaráin clubhouse.

Replying To sam2024:  "Unlucky today. I thought both teams were poor, we could have had a couple of goals and you missed some really straight forward points. Some of the hail mary 2 pointer attempts in the 2nd half were very poor, a little composure and work the ball in closer for points and you probably would have won.
Still think you'll be a massive threat with Con back - good luck for rest of year. Always a pleasure and great occasion to play against yourselves in HQ no matter the result."
In fairness it was an exciting game.
Armagh will definitely need to improve though.
Dublin had 40 scoring chances yesterday and we gave away 5 points to technical fouls (eventually lost by 5pts), and we were missing our main man, who would have added a lot to the Dubs in terms of scoring and composure.

The win is an important bonus for Armagh, going straight into the 1/4 Final.
Best of luck in the rest of the championship.

Shooting boots on we could have won.
Armagh far more composed and well worth their win.
But there's enough to work on there, big time!!"
Are they the same new rules that were there when Dublin beat Galway? No excuses, Armagh were better all over the field.

No excuses at all - I have been saying it for quite a while.

They are nonsense.

I said it before. NO team that loses 2 championship games should still be in competition.

Ludicrous creche rules. Dublin are not good enough and should not be in it still. Simple as that..

Derry could go through to next round after losing twice and drawing twice.

Tell me that is not absurd!!

Great to see Dublin average again. Just being honest as a meath man. It was a very tough few years. Not saying Dublin are gone but very beatable now

I don't see why a team losing twice shouldn't be in contention. Bar straight knockout competitions nearly all sports events allow teams to potentially lose a few times and still wi. And it isn't an issue. Best team still wins out

One chance fine but not winning any of 4 iand still being in knockout stage is laughable.

No offence to Derry. Dublin should be gone too by now. 36 games to reduce 16 to 12! Seriously. ...

Because I don't like them. The goal has been diminished, the mark is exactly what the game DOESN'T need.
The game is now being structured around the 2 pointer.
I'm an old schooler, remember that.
I preferred when it was all hell for leather.
Sorry.

It's not an excuse, did I not lament the fact that we beat Galway without a single 2 pointer?
Armagh were worth their win, i have said that.

That is for sure....
Our best player, retiring but off playing GAA in USA for the Summer doesnt quell the talk tbh.

1 more game for us, let's see how we perform v Derry.
But not putting back to back good performances together is a major issue.

Do you not do arithmetic in Ros?

Four groups. 16 teams. Three rounds of games.

4x3 =12.

3x12=36.
