Pity bout Danny.Galway have a very strong back six named but I think we will have enough.

Was dreadful performance. Ludicrous tactics. Packing defence playing with breeze, a one man full foward line! Clearly went out with plan for damage limitation. In a final... BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3574 - 24/05/2025 18:17:12 2612115 Link 1 |
Disappointing result today in the Neller. Our ff line very quiet today. At least the players never dropped the heads and fought till the end. We will go again.I def thought this was our best chance of a Leinster title. brayballer (Wicklow) - Posts: 147 - 25/05/2025 17:32:32 2612457 Link 0 |
A lot of dropped passes and missed touches from the inside line cost ye some handy scores and even some more goal chances. Hetherton looked like he was trying to hold a bar of soap at times. Some of the shots in the first half as well just drained the energy out of the crowd and the team. We weren't hectic, but the decision making was good overall and we were more clinical, which was the main difference. WanPintWin (Galway) - Posts: 2347 - 25/05/2025 18:56:47 2612480 Link 1 |
A really disjointed performance from the hurlers yesterday and just can't give Galway that kind of space and time on the ball. Rallied again a bit at the end but overall it was a comfortable enough win for Galway so hats off to them. Be interesting to see how they fare v KK in the Leinster Final now. Huge game v Armagh as a win will more than likely see us straight through to quarter final. Armagh will be tougher than Galway though.

I don't think we'll be seeing Con this weekend. This match will definitely go down to the wire. I'm calling a draw

With the bad weather forecast for the weekend - I cant see Dessie risking Con, especially with a hamstring strain. Hopefully a couple of the other injuries will clear up. Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 4276 - 26/05/2025 20:25:15 2612892 Link 0 |
This will be a big test for Dublin…. Galway only played in fits and starts but still came within a point of Dublin… that won't be the case with Armagh… they will be right at it from start to finish… Will CK have the same level of performance again..? Will Dublins middle sector gain as much possession and will Cluxton get as many kick outs away again..? Interesting stuff and if Dublin end up winning this one then their odds will shorten dramatically in the race for Sam…. ForeverBlue2 (Cavan) - Posts: 3994 - 27/05/2025 10:42:20 2612968 Link 0 |

I think that while yes Galway only played in fits and starts the last day but I don't think Dublin were at full throttle for 70 mins either. Plenty of sloppy mistakes to tidy up on too from our end I would say. Massive opportunity back in familiar surroundings but we need to get a foothold again in midfield and then hope we have our shooting boots with us. Injuries will be crucial and will be intrigued to see what 15 we line out with. The two Smalls should both be back, Murchan I've no idea as he was sat in the stands the last day and then Con will hardly be risked if it was any sort of a hamstring injury of note. Lots of interesting match ups but we'll have to go a step up again in terms of execution and bring the same hunger and intensity to show the last day wasn't just a once off. Would never write off the Dubs . Dubs are a better team then Galway . Hence why they beat them . Dubs where also missing players to . I'd say the Dubs could beat Armagh .

Do we know when details of the Derry game will be released?? GAA website just says 14th/15th June but you'd hope it would be the Saturday evening for an away game and not the Sunday afternoon. TrueBlue35 (Dublin) - Posts: 256 - 28/05/2025 14:23:05 2613251 Link 0 |
Won't it have to be the same time as Armagh v Galway?

It will yes but doesn't really solve my query considering that game hasn't been fixed yet either by the looks of it.

Great to see Evan, Eoghan, the Small brothers, Scully, Luke, and above all LEE, all listed on the subs bench. Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 4276 - 29/05/2025 23:26:10 2613528 Link 0 |

Might make an appearance you wouldn't know. Bugler wasn't name in the squad for the last game and ended up starting. I assume Con does need more recovery time though. TrueBlue35 (Dublin) - Posts: 256 - 30/05/2025 12:54:04 2613607 Link 0 |
