Replying To greenfan:  "Yeah Rogers is a very good keeper, very comfortable with kick outs going short or long. Can go long to the opposition 45 , similar to Patton"
Rodgers a big physical unit who has some boot on him but he definitely isn't comfortable on short kickouts. I was in Donegal a bit this year and saw Dungloe twice and he was going very long straight down the middle nearly every time.

Replying To rorysboys:  "I doubt if the players or management read this forum. Your paltry support in the first games show that the mayo fanbase doesn't believe. Hopefully we'll travel in big numbers surprised that it hasn't sold out already."
why wouldn't they read this forum ?

Similar to Mulreany who's not comfortable on short ones either. Maybe going long is the best option, get it as far away from your own goals as possible. For that , Rogers is probably the better option.

Going long makes no sense as it would be a 50/50 ball and possession is King.

Some win for Meath. They top now. So we can play them if we get to a quarter. And it's nice seeing Kerry lose the first real test they had in the group stage. The playing field is very level. Would love a Galway win over Armagh to completely shake the groups up.
We need to win tomorrow regardless. For momentum, pride etc etc.
Let's send Mayo home.

Kerry's defeat changes everything.

I'd have been sad but not completely depressed if Mayo beat us and we finished 3rd.

Not anymore.

Suddenly actually finishing 2nd could be the best route to a semi final.

Topping group is unlikely but now it means you could draw Kerry, Galway, Dublin or Derry.

2nd means worst case scenario is we play 3rd team from group 4 in Ballybofey next week. We could get Cork or Louth(Can't see Clare beating Louth)

Then it's going to be a quarter final v Meath or Monaghan/Down.

That's a decent route.

Suddenly tomorrow has become a cannot lose game imo.
