Agree totally. This was the best performance by a Galway team in Croke Park for years. Hurlers and footballers should have a good look at themselves and then a good look at the camogie final.

Super Galway, brilliant.
The Cork manager was funny with his comments.
Last year Cork threw the winning goal into the net and the umpires let it stand.
Galway did not complain.
Thank God for yesterday,

Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "Where were the 8 backs when Cork goaled? Galway had only 3 scoring forwards, so 4 was plenty to have up there. Cork upped their energy level after HT, and Galway understandably tired late on from their relentless workrate. That's why Cork came more into it imo, and had nothing to do with tactical formation."
Thought our keeper should have varied the puck out and found the extra player in the last 15 minutes , saying that she made two great saves.

Heard a Cork man saying.....another 2 minutes Cork would have won as Galway were out on their feet hanging on like a loose button and that kellys point in the 1st half should have been free out for push on the back.

Poor Katser seems very sore that Galway won.....must have had Cork backed. With friends/'supporters' like Katser, who needs enemies. Questioning the tactics of a manager that's won 3 of the last 7 camogie titles.....hilarious.

If every one was half as well versed as Katser this would be the final one of multiple titles amassed this year.

I doubt Sarsfields will care that much when they are going for a fifth senior all ireland in seven years this year and they have added the transfer in of one of the best players on that Galway team since they eased to the All Ireland last year.

You won't be putting your money on Cork again!

Delighted Galway won, but could have easily lost it from being in a commanding position for majority of the game.
Missed penalty for Cork, playing with 14 for 2nd half, fitter team towards the finish, Galway playing with two sweepers and giving away lots of frees due to inviting on intense pressure because We hadn't our 6 forwards up front to win the ball.
When Cork went direct and scored the goal Galway had 11 players inside their own half. Then when Maher won the free Galway had 10 players inside the Cork half!
Winning, playing well and with extra player Galways tactics are let's keep two sweepers back and hold out!

Tell your Cork man if they're were a couple of more minutes in the first have the game would have been over at half time such was Galway's dominance and it wasn't due to work rate alone but through great skill and team play.

Didn't his tactics work? Cork needed multiple goals at that stage and only got 1?

Sars a great club team and a credit to Galway camogie last decade or so. What is the issue? Team selection is it & fell out with Cathal Mirray as a result? I must say those Camogie players are a credit to Galway and hope they get everything they deserve from co board etc.

I am half Cork and I can assure You, if they lose a close game, a small coiterie of tbem will always have excuses. I suppose all counties have supporters like that, but the Cork Crowd excel at it. When they got a highly suspect goal against Galway last year and won by a point, sure it was grand.

Sorry but if the Footballers or hurlers had won I wouldn't give a damn about tactics. It doesnt matter how they won they just did.It took guts and determination.Thats all that matters.

Fair play to them but their manager sure cared when he came out and dismissed Galway management and team earlier in the year.

Absolutely baffled by the tactics in the 2nd half......5pts up with extra player and he has two sweepers!!
Instead of putting extra players in the Forwards and drive it home!
I'd hate to think if Galway were 5pts down and player sent off would Cork have played sweepers.....not a chance.
It felt like by Galway playing sweepers they were afraid of losing more so than carrying the fight to Cork and beating them comfortably.
Basically We shouldn't have been hanging on for a finish they could have won by 10pts if they attacked Cork in the 2nd half instead of pulling everyone back and inviting Cork upfield.

There is an issue for certain, which is a shame. There's no doubt that some of the best Camogie players in the county weren't involved this year, for one reason or another. At the end of the day the Galway management team made their decisions and did a remarkable job steering the group to an All-Ireland title, given the circumstances.
