Your paranoia regarding rugby is even more bizarre considering Cuala winning yesterday. A club drawing players from some of the wealthiest parts of the country. Adding to their hurling title. If you were to believe the lazy sterotypes espoused by some people here, strictly rugby country. Similarly, Kilmacud.
The point is that if you give people a choice they'll pick what they enjoy and it generally follows that if they enjoy it they may also be good at it. I've no doubt Con O' Callaghan could have been very good at other sports but he chose GAA. I don't hear any rugby supporters bad mouthing him or the GAA for making that choice.
Paranoia, bitterness and begrudgery only push people away. Stop looking over your shoulder and look at ways to make a positive contribution to your club.

So you've never heard the slurs bogball or stickball being used by some of the rugby set on social media.

But sure whatever I say you find fault with it, so what is the point in engaging in a conversation about it?

Clickbait on social media is just that. Designed to get people worked up. It obviously works in some instances.

Good post. I think also you will find that Leo Cullen played for Kilmacud Crokes during his UCD days. This doesn't necessarily mean other than that sportsmen sometimes try different codes.

He would have been getting encouragement from his family who were big into Gaelic games. His uncle Liam was involved with Ashford and was county board chairman for a while. I could be wrong on this but I think his maternal grandfather may have played for England.

The game has been confirmed. So Leinster will have played more in croke park in 12 months then any county outside Dublin? We have new Zealanders and south Africans playing in croke park more than any Leitrim footballer has in their careers. GAA has lost its way

Why would Leitrim's games be fixed for Croke Park?

Why should Leinster rugby games? That's the question.

That's pretty shocking to be fair.

I'd rather see county finals there than rugby being honest.

There's no talking to some posters here, they can't see how damaging this road is to the GAA in the long term as an ethos.

If the goal of young kids is to play in our most famous GAA stadiums, then that dream is completely devalued when other sports are allowed in no matter what money they are giving to rent those stadiums for the pleasure

Or a promotion of the national sports at their most important level no matter what the attendance is. A county final is the supreme competition in the GAA.

A hacked up rugby competition of clubs in four countries of Europe is not in the same league

LOL my god this is completely ridiculous stuff. Rugby has been played in Croke Park on and off since 2007 and now apparently rugby is 'devaluing' kids dreams of playing in Croke Park. Wow. What decade are you living in? You might want to start closer to home if that's the case... is Dublin devaluing Croke Park because they play all their home games there? You're definitely very insecure about the GAA. Christ on a bike.

And I thought there wasn't much Rugby up in Leitrim? Guess I was wrong. It must be taking over altogether up your way to have him that paranoid!
