Kieran McGeeney was keeping his feet firmly on the ground after Armagh qualified for a fourth successive Ulster SFC final with a facile victory over Down.
The 2024 All-Ireland champions will go into the decider against Monaghan on Sunday week as favourites to end an 18-year wait for the Anglo Celt Cup after routing Donegal’s quarter-final conquerors in Clones.
"It's just the win. We're into the Ulster final again. That's just the main thing. The scoreline probably doesn't reflect either team. Down's victory over Donegal took a lot of energy. We all know Donegal are probably the best team in the country at the minute,” the Orchard County boss told RTÉ.
"To play the following week, we knew that would have an impact. So we'll not be putting too much into it. Conor [Laverty] is doing an unbelievable job there. All of us have games that get away from us, it's no reflection of either team. We just had momentum where we were able to score."
Looking ahead to the final, ‘Geezer’ added: "We will have to keep down and try to focus and be ready for the next game. Monaghan will have no fear of us."
