Former Clare manager Anthony Daly says he expects a “fascinating” showdown between Kilkenny and Galway on Saturday (5.15pm).
Both sides head into the Allianz Hurling League sixth round clash at Pearse Stadium looking for their third respective wins of the Division 1A campaign.
Speaking on the RTE GAA Podcast this week, Daly feels it’s an important game for both teams and one that will look to see the Cats try and bounce back from their 3-12 to 1-15 loss to Cork last time out.
"They were quite lucky not to concede more goals," said the ex-Dublin boss.
"The one thing with them is they keep fighting, it’s not in their DNA to down tools. They don’t really do an off-day, they keep battling.
"It’s a fascinating game as the Cats are looking over their shoulder. If they don’t get something, they might have to play Tipperary needing a result.”
He added: "I’m praising Galway all along, but if they lose, they then have to go to Limerick. It’s fascinating."
