Patrick McBrearty admitted that scoring goals is a problem for Donegal after their 10-point Ulster SFC first round win over Derry.
A surprise inclusion in the starting XV after recovering quicker-than-expected from a calf injury, the long-serving forward kicked 0-7 before being replaced in the 56th minute.
“I think we've got two goals the whole league campaign, it's not good enough,” he said in an interview with RTÉ.
"It's something that we're talking about, it's something we are practising, it's just the composure in front of the posts."
With Allianz League Division 2 champions Monaghan up next, the Kilcar clubman insisted that Jim McGuinness’ men are coping well with expectations.
"There has been a lot of hype around the county, there's no doubt about that, just conversations you have with people in and around your own parish or wherever you go," he continued.
"Obviously Jim back and Michael (Murphy) coming back into the fold is going to bring big attention, but I think our lads have dealt well with it, they've kind of shielded themselves... and it doesn't wear them out."
