Denis Bastick is still going strong for his club Templeogue Synge Street.
Last Sunday, the five-time All-Ireland SFC winner scored 1-6 in a man of the match display in Templeogue’s 1-12 to 0-12 victory over St Brendan’s in the Dublin Junior 6 South Football Championship final at Dolphin Park. It was the 43-year-old's first silverware with his club since 2008 when they won a county IFC title, having also bagged 1-6 in the semi-final.
The former contestant on RTÉ’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ has played for and managed the Dublin Masters (Over 40s) team in recent years. He retired from Dublin senior duty in 2017.
