What is the going rate for a senior club manager at the moment? hypothetically of course as payments don't happen.

Just reading this thread shows what an absolute farce the club management scene has become.

Fellas being ran from clubs and respawn the following season some place else.
Id love to be a fly on the wall when these lads are interviewing for the job "Ive been watching *checks notes* Ratoath/Trim/Ashbourne/Tones/Na fianna/skryne for the last number of years and i believe you have what it takes to win the championship and this is how I'll achieve it"

Not sure who's worse the lads on the merry go round or the clubs that are entertaining them.

I'd love if Meath took a stance on it and only allow club members manage teams.

Yes you are absolutely right. There are a small proportion of guys that are good genuine coaches/managers and do it for the right reasons but generally they are extremely hard to find and are quickly swallowed up by the best clubs. There are then those that know all the buzz words and organise good drills but are extremely expensive.
But for some reason clubs rather taking risks and spending thousands on a guy they don't know and maybe 6 months down the line realise not a good fit then any genuine clubman that knows the club inside out!
Then again some of the most suitable and best guys don't want to do the job in any case.

Huge step up from des teeling moving to trim from slane. Seems like on of the most promising managers around with the work he done with slane over the past few years. Any news of john Mccarthy getting a club job this season ot is he in with one of the meath squads this year. Two regional wins surely he would be looking for a top club job with his CV. Any truth in the rumours aidan young is the new syddan manger?

Bit of a difference between walked away and finished their term. You should write for the daily mail.
