Martin Corey has stepped down as Kilcoo manager after two seasons in charge, according to a report from The Irish News.

The Monaghan native took over from Karl Lacey in April 2025 and guided the Magpies to a seventh successive Down senior football championship title in his first season.

Kilcoo reached the Ulster final, where they lost to Scotstown after extra time, before their bid for an eighth county title on the bounce ended with a 4-16 to 1-20 semi-final defeat to Burren last Sunday.

The Magpies are now set to begin their search for Corey's successor.
