Former Cork U20 football star Liam O’Connell has extended his stay with AFL side St Kilda.
O’Connell made his Premiership debut with the Saints back in March against Adelaide Crows in the opening game of the 2025 season.
Since then, the 22-year-old has made a total of seven appearances, “showcasing relentless pressure, physicality and maturity beyond his years” according to the St Kilda website.
O'Connell, who lived in Australia between the ages of four and 11, moved to Melbourne as a category B rookie in 2023 and is now set to see his stay extended with the Saints for the 2026 season.
