The draw for the Offaly SFC semi-finals has pitted holders Tullamore against Rhode and Edenderry against Ferbane.

Group winners Tullamore and Edenderry were kept apart in the draw which took place after Rhode and Ferbane overcame Bracknagh and Shamrocks respectively in their quarter-finals at the weekend. Second half goals from brothers Ross (two) and Aaron Kellaghan helped Rhode to a 3-15 to 0-16 victory over Bracknagh on Saturday after they had trailed by 0-6 to 0-9 at half-time, while Ferbane – who have been runners-up for the last two years – staged a stirring comeback to edge out Shamrocks by 3-15 to 2-17 on Sunday.

Boosted by goals from Darragh Bryant and Andrew Delaney, underdogs Shamrocks led by 2-15 to 2-9 12 minutes into the second half, but were outscored by 1-6 to 0-2 thereafter as Ger Rafferty’s men – for whom Jack Clancy bagged 3-1 – came back from the dead.

The semi-finals will take place at Glenisk O’Connor Park on the weekend after next.
