"We know what's ahead of us now"

Errigal Ciaran manager Enda McGinley says his side know what awaits them as they gear up for a semi-final showdown against holders Loughmacrory in the Tyrone senior football championship.

Errigal booked their place in the last four of the O’Neill Cup race with a seven-point win over Trillick in Omagh on Monday night, and McGinley knows the reigning champions will present a significant challenge the next day out.

The former Tyrone star was full of praise for his players’ performance against Trillick and says their attention must quickly turn towards Loughmacrory with a place in the county final up for grabs.

“It was a really good win, but we know what the draw is now, so it sort of quells any sense of celebration or pats on the back,” McGinley told BelfastLive.co.uk.

“We know what’s ahead of us now. From a long way out, Loughmacrory have looked like the main team in Tyrone.

“They’re obviously stronger than last year, and I thought their performance against Omagh was superb.

“Sixteen teams started out, we’re one of the four teams who will be left. To be there is brilliant, and all four of those teams will be backing themselves that they can win the whole thing.”
