Roscommon ace Enda Smith is set to miss his side’s crucial All-Ireland SFC Round 2B clash against Monaghan in Clones.
The Roscommon Herald reports that Smith suffered an abdominal strain in training, ruling him out of this afternoon’s game at St Tiernach’s Park where throw-in is at 4.30pm.
Rossies boss Mark Dowd has not included the Boyle clubman in his matchday panel for the ‘do-or-die’ showdown with the Farney men, which will see the winners advancing into Monday’s Round 3 draw and the losers knocked out of the championship.
Brian Stack returns to the Connacht champions’ defence, with Keith Doyle and Conor Ryan at centre-field and Diarmuid Murtagh captaining the side in a full-forward line which also includes Darragh Heneghan and Robert Heneghan.
