New York squad named for Roscommon clash

New York manager Ronan McGinley has announced his squad for Sunday's Connacht SFC opener against Roscommon at Gaelic Park.

Former Kerry star Jack Savage, Clare's Cian O'Dea and Michael Argue from Cavan are among the familiar names included in a panel that also features several home-grown players, including Shane Brosnan, who has captained the side for the past few years. 

New York first entered the Connacht SFC in 1999, but had to wait until 2023 to win their first game when they famously defeated Leitrim on penalties at the Bronx venue.
