Eamonn Fitzmaurice says Dublin will pose a serious threat to Kerry in Sunday week’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final if they can brush up on their finishing.
After losing the Leinster final to Westmeath and their All-Ireland SFC Round 1 opener to Louth, the Dubs have turned their season around with massive Croke Park wins over Donegal and Galway over the last two weekends, and would appear to be hitting form at the right time. However, Fitzmaurice feels there’s one area they still need to improve on.
“To be fair to them, they've had some fantastic wins over the last couple of weeks,” the former Kerry All-Ireland SFC winning captain and centre back said on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland.
“Particularly against a Galway team I would have really fancied and previously against Donegal who the whole country fancied to go on and win an All-Ireland, so I think they deserve massive credit.
“I think they will be doing a lot of shooting practice between here and the semi-final because it's possibly the only thing that's leaving them down because if they bring their shooting boots to Croke Park, they'll be hard to stop.”
