The Cork hurlers have suffered another injury setback with the news that Robbie O’Flynn is set to be out of action for the next three weeks with a hamstring problem.

The Erin’s Own clubman, who came off the bench in the recent wins over Limerick and Waterford, will miss next Sunday’s last Munster SHC round-robin game against Clare at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh as well as the final on June 7 if Cork should qualify.

Captain Darragh Fitzgibbon will also miss the remainder of Cork’s Munster SHC campaign after undergoing appendicitis surgery last weekend, while defensive lynchpins Rob Downey and Ciaran Joyce are currently sidelined with ankle ligament and ACL injuries respectively.
