Roscommon have been boosted by the return of their St Brigid’s contingent ahead of Saturday evening’s Allianz Football League local derby with Galway in Salthill.

Manager Mark Dowd revealed after last Sunday’s victory over Armagh at Dr Hyde Park that all bar the injured duo of Brian Stack and Eddie Nolan were back on board after featuring in last month’s heartbreaking All-Ireland club SFC final defeat to Dingle after extra-time.

“The remaining (St Brigid’s) guys came in there on Wednesday night,” he told reporters.

“You've got to remember, they're after having a lay-off of three or four weeks. You can't just jump these guys straight in.

“We want to make sure we're not picking up injuries for the rest of the year. They're cautious, they're coming back in, they're doing their protocol and they'll be back in putting their hands up for contention for the next few weeks.”
