Dublin SHC quarter-final pairings locked in

The Dublin SHC quarter-final and relegation line-up has been confirmed following the completion of the group phase last weekend.

In the quarter-finals, Kimacud Crokes face St Brigid’s, Cuala take on Whitehall Colmcille, four-in-a-row chasing Na Fianna meet St Jude’s and Lucan Sarsfields lock horns with Erin’s Isle. The relegation semi-final pairings are St Vincent’s v Faughs and Ballyboden St Enda’s v Naomh Barróg.

Among the highlights of last weekend’s round-robin action were Kilmacud Crokes’ 4-17 to 1-16 victory over Na Fianna where late goals Ger Veale and Ronan Hayes added gloss to the scoreline and Cuala’s 2-16 to 1-17 defeat of southside rivals Ballyboden St Enda’s. Goals in either half from George O’Toole secured the spoils for Cuala and sent ‘Boden into the relegation playoffs.

The final round results were as follows:

Group 1: Naomh Barróg 0-18 St Vincent’s 1-21; Erin’s Isle 0-16 Whitehall Colmcille 0-21; Kilmacud Crokes 4-17 Na Fianna 1-16. 

SHC 1 Group 2: Ballyboden St Enda’s 1-17 Cuala 2-16; Lucan Sarsfields 4-23 Faughs 1-12; St Brigid’s 0-19 St Jude’s 0-21.
