Cork defender Mark Coleman hopes the Rebels can bounce back from their Munster SHC final defeat to Limerick with a strong performance against Offaly this weekend.
Ben O’Connor’s side meet the Faithful men on Sunday in Thurles (3.30pm) where a place in the All-Ireland semi-finals against Galway will be at stake.
Speaking to GAA.ie this week, Coleman reflected a bit on the Leesiders’ loss to Limerick in the southern province’s decider two weeks ago and pointed out that the focus for the group has been on Sunday’s opponents ever since.
"There wasn't much in it, there never is, to be fair," said the Blarney man.
"It's disappointing to come out on the wrong side of it always, but it was a good game, and we're on to a new competition now. That's the focus now going forward.
"It's an intense championship where you don't really have time to rest on your laurels or be thinking about defeats or victories. It's just a matter of moving on to Offaly now. So, that's the full focus."
He added: "We've been fortunate enough to have good days, but we've had plenty of bad days along the way. I think we've always been good at reacting to those poor defeats, especially in 2024.
"We started off the championship with two losses, but we were able to react and get good performances, and hopefully we can get another good performance."
