Waterford are set to be without Sean Walsh for Sunday’s home Allianz Hurling League clash against Limerick after the wing forward was unsuccessful in his appeal against the red card he picked up against Cork last weekend.
The Fourmilewater clubman was sent off in the latter stages of the Deise men’s defeat at Pairc Ui Chaoimh for “behaving in a way that is dangerous to an opponent”.
Having appealed the red card to the Central Hearings Committee last night, the CHC found that the infraction proven and have imposed the one match ban on the player.
Walsh can still have his suspension lifted if a successful appeal is made to the Central Appeals Committee (CAC).
