Shush with that. You'll move the bottleneck there and I'll have to find another route.

Gaels hammer Ramor in 2nd gear. Consolation goal for Ramor just at the end. Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts: 975 - 11/08/2017 21:39:55 2032469 Link 0 |
Bit of shadow boxing tonight with Gaels and Ramor? Will both go for it and show their hand? Heard the Gaels won't be at full strength. Don't know how true that is. Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts:268 - 11/08/2017 12:16:57 2032323 Well is it a tactical move by Ramor not to show their hand Or were they beaten by a better team if this is what Ramor have to offer well I find it hard to see them retaining the crown. Kick outs simply desperate did not win one ball in the first half they tapped the ball down and every time the gaels said thanks very much. I wonder is that it for Ramor if yes who is there to beat the Gales can anyone see them being beat I am not sure but from one week to the other you see two different performances from most of these teams. James McEnroe moved out of center half well that for sure was not a clever move. Well lets hope we see some football over the weekend to talk about. Tactical or not they had a straight red card so that was hardly part of the plan. Gaels looked in 2nd gear . Different players seem to be stepping up each week. Time will tell but it will take a good team to beat them. Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts: 975 - 11/08/2017 22:58:42 2032492 Link 0 |

Surely people will surely start taking notice of this gaels team now but also Jayo. In my book he is the best club manager within this county . He has brought success everywhere he has gone but also brings in such a level of professionalism when he arrives. For me he is the Cavan senior manager in waiting and I believe he is the man to bring us to the Holy Grail. blueskies (Cavan) - Posts: 197 - 12/08/2017 08:27:36 2032525 Link 0 |
Very good chance Ramor and Gaels will meet again in do or die. Ramor will be smarting from this and if they can get their act together it could be the makings of the game we hoped to see. Hardtimes (Cavan) - Posts: 1056 - 12/08/2017 09:10:44 2032530 Link 0 |
Think it was Seanie who got the 2 yellows. Other was a straight red I thought? Maybe I'm wrong. There was some late hits going in both sides . Could easily have been a few black cards

Agree... he's also got good players to work with.. Also players like Fortune , Graham, K Meehan , D Sexton are worth their place on the county panel if interested. Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts: 975 - 12/08/2017 09:55:27 2032536 Link 0 |

Jayo in management terms is a novice let him win the county title and bring this team if you feel they are good enough to win Ulster and an All Ireland then I expect people might start thinking as you are. Last nights match one does not know if the gaels were very good or Ramor are playing the game to suit their plans going forward. I don't know I watched they left them self's down that being the case The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4601 - 12/08/2017 10:04:49 2032539 Link 0 |
Jaysus, Ramor were shocking poor! They had an impressive running game which seems to have disappeared. Yes Brian O Connell and a few other aren't there, but last year everyone was talking about Ramor's strength and depth? Weak showing to say the least. patman92 (Cavan) - Posts: 71 - 12/08/2017 10:25:01 2032543 Link 0 |

After the 4th draw does it become a knock out then. Top play last second play second last and so on is this the way it will be then or what happens. If it is then it becomes last chance saloon so there will be no messing about. The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4601 - 12/08/2017 11:49:35 2032565 Link 0 |

Do you not think so? Darragh Sexton has been playing out of his skin and Meehan is a far better footballer now than when he first came on the Senior panel after the u21s of 2011. Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts: 975 - 12/08/2017 12:29:15 2032571 Link 0 |
I just think there is something really exciting about Jayo and he is still very young. In his first Job with Lacken he won an intermediate and came very close in Ulster losing to a very strong Monaghon team. He went home to belterbut who were in a bad place when he arrived . A lot of older players had left and they never seem to win anything underage but last year won a 1b title against the odds. Both clubs are in a very healthy position at present from the structures and professionalism he brought in. While the Gaels have so much talent he is doing a remarkable job and he has them boys so fired up and mark my words if this gaels team win a Cavan championship they will want to push on in Ulster and wont lie down like so many Cavan teams have done in recent years after winning a championship. He will have them aiming high. Look lets hope things work out for Mattie and we have some good days and if Jayo can continue to learn his trade as you said we wont need to search to far for the next man. blueskies (Cavan) - Posts: 197 - 12/08/2017 13:01:57 2032577 Link 0 |
blueskies (Cavan) - Posts:86 - 12/08/2017 13:01:57 2032577 Well all the senior teams that have won the county before them some with 20 titles the gales with twelve Crosserlough ect they have not progressed on to win Ulster so a big ask from the current senior teams. It would be nice but will it happen I don't know. I suppose it's down to what teams win their respective senior titles up North and who you draw. Anyway all the senior teams are still there once the knock outs start we will have some idea. . The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4601 - 12/08/2017 14:18:42 2032584 Link 0 |
I was shocked at how poor Ramor were last night. Heard good things about some of their younger players, so I went along for a look. Completely overrun all over the pitch, their full back line will have nightmares about that game, Dunne, Johnston and Graham took them to pieces. Swamped at midfield, one dimensional kick-outs from their goalie, time and time again taking far too long on re-starts and going straight down the middle, it was hard to believe that I was watching the county champions. The only thing that worked for them was having Kevin Mulvany introduced in the second half, he should start for them as they got most of their scores when he was at midfield. Won't lie down like so many Cavan teams including the Gaels themselves.
