Yes to be honest I am pleased to see the back of the U21 championship for it has been on the cards for a very long time.

He says in one sentence......

So maybe create a competition at U21 level where player's are allowed to express and play freely and see what happens even at senior level.

He says a few lines later.

I'm as confused as a cow on astro turf........

Yes you have every right to feel confused as I am for one is happy to continue watching a negative game where as I just cannot stand it so in a nutshell it's a catch 22 isn't it????
you are dammed if you do and dammed if you don't

Donegal basically romp through Ulster giving us a double score thumping in the process.
Then Dublin proceed to dismantle Donegal.
Question is, where does that leave the future of Ulster football never mind Cavan football?????

It is a depressing thought that young players are being drilled to play in such a negative manner. The under age system should allow them to express themselves. Donegal were a prime example of this on Saturday afternoon.

Could it be that Donegal had an off day or that they were tired from playing three games in ten days?

Plus their players played McKenna cup and National League.

Am I the only one finding it hard to read this new posting system?
I seem to be reading the same messages with a wee bit added to the end of each.
I preferred the old format.

seems to be a bit of a glitch. easiest way to make yours readable is to leave a couple of lines at the top of your reply so your text is separated from the previous post

To be honest, I doubt if Cavan or Derry would have done any worse against Dublin. perhaps it was the quick turn-around that did it.
Although the style of play was undoubtedly a contributing factor. This style of play has now gone as far as it can go iMO . Although When We played Donegal they seemed to break a lot faster and were scoring from all distances and angles whereas against Dublin they couldn't hit a barn door and looked slow and ponderous. Perhaps Dublin made them look so and also put them under a lot more pressure when shooting. Anyway I have since watched the second semi-final of TG4 and it was a breath of fresh air. Kerry unlucky on a few dodgy referring calls but Galway overall much the better team. However we will only know how good they are after they have played Dublin.

So Donegal absolutely hammered us and the Dubs did the same to them.
Not very heartening.
Are six of these lads ready or able for the senior squad I wonder?

to be honest, I didn't see one that would cut it at senior grade. They are good footballers but some are being over hyped, and are believing the hype
We are not producing game changers. We are producing robots to fit into a system of play.
