Bit unfortunate having to play the last few minuets with 14 lad's after we had a player black carded and all our subs were used up, this did not help either. ??? The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4601 - 18/03/2016 10:25:05 1835723 Link 0 |

I said this in a previous discussion regarding the Hastings Cup. FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2824 - 18/03/2016 21:23:05 1835882 Link 0 |

Ah yes the panel of 50 odd lads, including lads who had never played county football before and lads who had never met Niall Lynch before.. A complete "closed shop".... Inactive x5 (Cavan) - Posts: 1452 - 21/03/2016 12:41:48 1836366 Link 0 |

You can think of me as a rep for common sense if you'd rather. Inactive x5 (Cavan) - Posts: 1452 - 21/03/2016 17:04:58 1836485 Link 0 |

FrDougalMaguire (Cavan) has important points to make but as previous the county board establishment are out to rubbish any fair and future important comments. experiencedblu (Cavan) - Posts: 19 - 21/03/2016 20:35:03 1836563 Link 0 |

Regardless of who was picked for the panel, the game was lost along the line, Tyrone were there for the taking but management failed to grasp the opportunity. There was one/two lads on the bench that could have started, but it was the same old story with Cavan Football, defend, defend. We started very brightly, we let the ball do the work and we had Tyrone on a rack, but sadly, we went back into our shell again. deanmartin (Cavan) - Posts: 643 - 22/03/2016 10:18:09 1836631 Link 0 |
Of course it's the management's fault. Niall Lynch bringing himself on and kicking 16 wides himself was a poor move. Lynch out. Inactive x5 (Cavan) - Posts: 1452 - 22/03/2016 12:09:40 1836693 Link 0 |
I'm far from an expert, but always amazed how simplistic some people are on here. "Play like this, pick these players, win every match" Is the jist of every post. Breffni40 (Cavan) - Posts: 12199 - 22/03/2016 13:06:34 1836720 Link 0 |
Jonsmith - Dougalmaguire was right, all you do is jump to the defence of the County Board rather than come with anything good to say. deanmartin (Cavan) - Posts: 643 - 22/03/2016 14:23:27 1836756 Link 0 |
The county board? Where have I mentioned the county board anywhere? I'm standing up for the management. The management is not then county board. Inactive x5 (Cavan) - Posts: 1452 - 22/03/2016 14:54:03 1836771 Link 0 |
Jonsmith - Its either funny or coincidence, but you've also stood up for the senior management despite the failures over the last few years. deanmartin (Cavan) - Posts: 643 - 22/03/2016 16:42:13 1836819 Link 0 |
Genuine question here and I'm trying for some reasoned discussion. When was the last time in your view that Cavan lost an underage game simply because the other team was better? StirringIt (Cavan) - Posts: 374 - 22/03/2016 16:45:27 1836822 Link 0 |
One thing is for sure, when a Cavan team are bet you'll find Deanmartin will be there to kick them when they are down. When a Cavan team win he will be very quiet hence he's here posting and nothing to say on the Fermanagh thread. Over on his FB page he was saying that Lynch was a great manager a few weeks ago. fredflint (Cavan) - Posts: 1485 - 22/03/2016 18:33:49 1836873 Link 0 |
It's beyond belief that people come on here slating young lads, telling them they weren't good enough and shouldn't have been on the panel, that they weren't good enough to be involved but for some "politics" that worked in their favour to get them involved, lads who have given up 4 months of their lives to work hard and play for Cavan and then seen that all go in vain after the defeat... Frankly it's disgusting. Have a good hard look at yourselves. I'll leave it there as I don't want to fuel any more diatribe directed at the young players of Cavan.
