It's a straight shootout with Roscommon for 3rd place… it's as simple as that. Monaghan have 2 bites at it with games v Meath and Louth… an easier task in my opinion… Roscommon were the only team last season to avoid defeat to Dublin of all those that played them in the Championship so they are no poor side…

Roscommon are definitely no bad side, they have class forwards in Daire Cregg, Murtagh, Enda Smith. They don't seem to be playing to their strengths though and there is pressure now on Davy Burke. Their defence is porous and rash.

Every game will be vital. If it ends up as three way tie on one win each, it will come down to score difference, so it will be important not to take a tanking from Dublin in Breffni

I think we should be backing ourselves to get something out of Galway (if it is them) after losing a Connacht final.

Galway or Mayo away would be a tough ask but not impossible

Was wondering when you'd raise your **** head. You've been very quite since the slapping you got in Clones.

Sure what was it all for ? You are no further on … 4th seeds bottom of the pile. Like I said before the game … you get the keep "We beat Monaghan in 2024" Trophy… since the new system the provincials is a separate entity.

Monaghan got a very favourable draw and can easily finish 2nd in the group… 3rd will be our best bet I'd imagine…

We actually are further along. Maybe not on seeding for draw yesterday which was essentially set after the League. But make no mistake that the win vs yourselves and such will bring us on. Progress isn't a straight line, nor viewed solely on seeding. But we're trying to improve and push to next level. And the last 2 games will bring us on, have tried young fellas and so on. Brings confidence and all that, while your last 7 outings were beatings, including biggest ones to us in many decades

Here nor there, petty arguments, the talk on here is tit for tat, laughable.

Yous had good days beating us this year, winning ulster a few years ago, we had good days last yrs and so on etc

It comes and goes and will continue to sway.

May Monaghan get on with their business in peace (I won't say 'quiet') , and we'll focus on Cavan's business until we meet again. Superiority is sorted on the pitch, not on high stools or chat rooms. Personally can't wait for a summer of football no matter what happens.

Yeah, I dont know what Monaghan are celebrating the draw, Louth will be loving it. Playing a washed up Monaghan and a wide ope Louth. Monaghan will be luck to get 3rd.

Exactly … in the all Ireland series not in the Ulster champ

Look Tom, you haven't beaten us in years. The facts are there to see. No relegation battle wins in April, wins in January against Dublin selections still to start training, or wins against the likes of Meath or Louth (I love the fact that you arrogantly assume you'll beat them in the group stages) will change these facts. You don't have the ability or tactical smarts to beat us. Now stop embarrassing yourself and your county.

So you deem Cavan to be better because you beat Monaghan, even though you lower ranked etc

Its like an Everton fan saying that are better than Liverpool because they beat hem in the Premier League....

Everton haven't won an Ulster Title in the last 5 years though.

Yeah it is. . .

If Everton had won the last 3 on the trot.
If Everton had won a Premier league more recently.
And if Everton's latest win was the biggest winning margin in the fixture in half a century. . .

Then it would be just like that.
