Replying To Loughduff Lad: "Have you ever seen Cavan play recently, or even understand positions?" Clarke to full back, Faulkner to the corner, McVeety to centre half back, no McLoughlin (one of our best players this year) is just in the backs that I've have issue with. Some many question marks over the rest of the team too, especially positions. Think we need something like the first Armagh match, that's close to our best team. The team that started the final was not. No need to change so much, go back to what works.

Replying To goonie: "Galligan Gunner. Clarke. Faulkner M.Reilly. McVeety G.Smith Argue. T. Galligan Stephan Murray. McKiernan. Moynagh(sweeper) C.Reilly. Madden. J.Galligan
I only left N.Murrary out because of injury" That's a crazy pick.
What did McLoughlin do to deserve to be dropped? Dara in the defence? He's our best scoring forward! Argue midfield? When did he last play a full game for Cavan?
Id go with,
1. Galligan - BUT if our kickouts continue the way they have been, Tyrone will beat us comfortably. 2. Jason 3. Faulkner 4. Moynagh 5. Marty Reilly 6. Killian 7. Stephen Murray (in my view he has done more than enough in the last few games to warrant a start ahead of Smith, in fact, he's been outstanding.) 8. I'm not sure tbh. Ciarán Brady maybe. 9. Gearóid 10. Mackey - Time to get 70 minutes out of him, we're going to need him. 11. Dara 12. Niall Murray 13. Madden 14. Caoimhín 15. Oisín Kiernan

Ciaran Brady at midfield could work alright.

Replying To Wally: "Well I would say that this is the second worst draw for both counties.
We were glad not to get Galway as I'm sure you were not to get Mayo.
I would have definitely have wanted Meath or Cork over Cavan but what can you do.
Hopefully it is a good game
All the best lads." I'd have preferred Mayo to Tyrone.

We have to take the game to them .

Thats only on the corner back. Yes Jason was roasted two weeks ago but he has served Cavan well with discipline and tenacity. A midfielder and a forward have been named and to be honest I hope they start for Tyrone will show everyone they are not inter county standard. Joe Dillion and Faulkner destroyed them a few years ago and these two players are still being talked about as the best Cavan have. If Micky was to start these then I would fear for Cavan's future.

Galligan Mcloughlin (McCurry) Faulkner (McShane) Moynagh Ciaran Brady (Harte) Clarke (it's his best position by far. Shouldn't be moving him from here for any reason) Rehill Gearoid Tgalligan Smurray Mreilly Kiernan Mackey McVeety Madden
Need to go at it from the start and not be waiting to see what happens. Couldn't believe the ulster final showing so much respect to Donegal. The crowd was ready to drive them on but almost like a baloon being punctured the players took the energy out of the game and hence the crowd. Always remember the under 21 finals the players tore into the opposition from the start and showed no respect. The energy from the crowd was massive and drove them on. We need to show some belief Sat start the game well and take the game to Tyrone. The effects of hunger on a game can be huge and should be used to our advantage

Seriously struggling to see Cavan winning this one but hopefully they defy the odds.
Was a great buzz leading up to the Ulster final but if we lose this one it'll be hard to paint a year in which we were relegated from Div1 with 6 losses, totally outclassed in the Ulster final and then beaten in our first qualifier, as a success.

Replying To Hardtimes: " Replying To Wally: "[quote=MadgeKing: "We never get kind draws later in the qualifiers because we are never in the later stages of the qualifiers!
Look, I just think Cavan need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves just because we drew Tyrone. They are the greatest self-promoters off them all, with former players all over the media constantly spinning the line of how brilliant they are. It has a lot of teams beaten before they take the field and we can't fall into that trap. The cold facts are that they have won 2 Ulster titles in the last 10 years- not the powerhouse they once were. Granted we always struggle to beat them but the match last year was closer than a lot of people remember and we drew with them a couple of years back too. Are we better than then ? Yes. Are they? Probably not.
So its time to lift the heads and expect more from this team that we are supposed to SUPPORT and BELIEVE in. The match will be in Clones on Saturday night, a huge championship game on a July evening in a great venue. What more could we want? Mickey Graham made a huge mistake by changing his forwards before the final now he has a chance to put it right and go for Tyrone from the off. Don't be giving these shapers the respect they crave, give them the beating they deserve." Just to be clear we have won 4 Ulster titles in the past 10 years- - not 2." Just to be clear ye won 3 Ulster titles in the past 10 years, not 4"]Lets be clear, Tyrone have won much more then we have in the last 10 years
