Pádraig Ó Sé became the latest member of the famous Kerry football dynasty to win an All-Ireland medal at Croke Park yesterday.
Wearing the number five jersey his late, great father Páidí wore in many of Kerry's biggest days at GAA HQ, Pádraig didn't put a foot wrong as he helped An Ghaeltacht to a double-scores victory over Glenullin in the All-Ireland club IFC final.
"I'm sure dad would be very proud looking down and I'm sure he'd have really soaked up the atmosphere that was in Dublin, and tonight as well, he'd be loving it. But obviously, it's special to bring one back," Pádraig told reporters.
"To win this is absolutely unbelievable for our club. It is the first line of conversation wherever you go, and obviously this year, with two teams five miles apart (An Ghaeltacht's neighbours Dingle contest the All-Ireland club SFC final next Sunday), you couldn't go anywhere around the peninsula without football being the first talking point and the games coming up.
"When you see people travelling home from the States and Australia to be here today, it's unreal."
The Ó Sé All-Ireland medal haul now stands at 25 as Pádraig follows in the footsteps of his father Páidí (eight) and first cousins Darragh (six), Tomás (five), and Marc (five).
