Kerry senior football manager Jack O’Connor has added former Kingdom star Kieran Donaghy to his backroom team ahead of next season.
Donaghy spent the last five seasons working under Kieran McGeeney in Armagh, helping to steer the Orchard County to its second ever All-Ireland SFC success in 2024 as they defeated Galway in the final at Croke Park.
Now the four-time All-Ireland winner and former Footballer of the Year has returned home to link up with his native county as they look to defend their Sam Maguire Cup crown in 2026 in what would be the Munster kingpins’ first back-to-back success since 2006/07.
“Jack O Connor Kerry Senior Football Team Manager has confirmed the addition of former player Kieran Donaghy to the backroom team for next season,” a press release from Kerry GAA read.
“Kieran’s welcome involvement further enhances an already strong support team.
“We wish them the best of luck for 2026.”
